Reflections on Shabat, 31st May 2024

 


Adonai Yeshua varoitti opetuslapsiaan useita kertoja, että hänen
jälkeensä tulee vääriä profeettoja ja vääriä messiaita. Matt. 7:15-17

>>15 "Watch out for false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, 
but inwardly are voracious wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruit. Grapes are not gathered from thorns or figs from thistles, are they? 17 In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.<<


A few additional NT verses of warning

- Mark 13:6 >>Many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and they will mislead many.<<

- Mark 13:22 >>For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, the elect.<<

- Luke 21:8 >>He said, "Watch out that you are not misled. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them!<<

- Gal. 1:8-9 >>8 But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be condemned to hell! 9 As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell!<<

- 2. John 7-11 >>7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, people who do not confess Yeshua as HaMashiach coming in the flesh. This person is the deceiver and the antichrist! 8 Watch out, so that you do not lose the things we have worked for, but receive a full reward.

9 Everyone who goes on ahead and does not remain in the teaching of HaMashiach does not have Elohim. The one who remains in this teaching has both the Father and the Son.

10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house and do not give him any greeting, 11 because the person who gives him a greeting shares in his evil deeds.<<


Many believers in Yeshua also get lost!

  Our Savior saw and foresaw how cunningly the Devil would work. If he does not make believers of Adonai Yeshua fall into the numerous temptations of sin in this world, then he will succeed in this way for many, that he will lead them to follow false Messiahs and false prophets.

 Elohim had to test our ancestors in Paradise to see who they really believed. He will also test us end-time believers for the same reason. As the apostle Paul teaches in vv 2 Thess. 2:7-12

>>7 For the hidden power of lawlessness is already at work. However, the one who holds him back will do so until he is taken out of the way, 8 and then the Lawless One will be revealed, whom the Lord will destroy by the breath of his mouth and wipe out by the manifestation of his arrival.

9 The arrival of the Lawless One will be by Satan's working with all kinds of miracles and signs and false wonders, 10 and with every kind of evil deception directed against those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved.

11 Consequently Elohim sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false. 12 And so all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned.<<


Important notice regarding this Bible study

  I sensed even before I started preparing this latest Sabbath for my study that I would probably experience clear attacks from the spirits of darkness. It's nothing new, because we live on the battlefield of spirits!

And so it happened:

- On Wednesday morning, unexpectedly, my left eye started to sting wildly in the middle of my prayers and the eyelid swelled. I flushed the eye with cold water and it got better. After praying, the swelling went away in about an hour!

- I have been writing different texts on Blogger for 15 years, but now on Friday morning I suddenly encountered such a difficulty that it was impossible to change the color of the text in the normal way! However, after praying, I found a workaround and managed to change the color of the text to what I wanted. Activating the links also produced difficulties. That problem also went away after I prayed.

- When I went to the bathroom to piss this morning, blood started to flow from the penis, which has never happened before! I prayed and became healed. It was a really outrageous attack on my intimate area, but fortunately the Devil can only do what our Creator allows him to do!

P.S. This Bible study I now have written IS A VERY IMPORTANT WARNING! I ask that you copy this and share as a warning to your friends and in many fb discussion groups!

  If that false prophet really arrives in Finland, even though I pray and ask others in my Bible study to pray that his coming here is prevented, then PLEASE WARN ALL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO STEP INTO THOSE MEETINGS, BUT TO BOYCOTT THEM!

  It is an attack by the spirits of darkness, where the demons are looking for new human bodies from unsuspecting people to live in, who participate in the meetings out of curiosity! 


False prophet David Owuor coming to Finland

  His Finnish disciples will organize large meetings in Helsinki on June 13-15, 2024. When I compare his teachings and lifestyle with what we are taught in the NT, there is not the slightest doubt that he is a false prophet. Two things make him very dangerous: He has declared himself the greatest prophet in the Bible and has performed several miracles and great signs! I did make a separate study about him:



Why did Adonai seriously warn us about them?

  The reason for his repeated warnings is because when people attend the meetings of such preachers, there is a transfer of demonic spirit forces into the innermost part of the hearers! People unknowingly become partakers of the spirits of darkness and demonic forces begin to influence their lives, with the sole purpose of taking those human souls to Hell with them!

 Even when the pure gospel is proclaimed, the influence of the Holy Spirit takes place in people's hearts and new things are created in their hearts, and the Holy Spirit begins the work of creation in those who have received the message of salvation, which will come to them as salvation! In this case, those who received the message of salvation are guided and protected from all the temptations and dangers of earthly life, with the goal of eternal life in heaven!


How can we avoid getting lost?

  Adonai Yeshua gave an important advice that is still valid and especially in this time of evil and great delusions: Mark 12:24
>>Yeshua said to them, "Aren't you deceived for this reason, because you don't know the Scriptures or the power of Elohim?"<<

  It is important to note that at that point not a single NT Scripture had been written! They were only started to be written decades after the resurrection of our Savior. Therefore, we should hold all the Messianic prophecies of the Tanakh in high esteem. In them we find the name Yeshua no less than 78 times, so why would we use any other proper name for the Savior?

  Of course, it is also important to know what else we have been taught in the New Testament about faith in the Savior and how to follow him. We are told about it in all NT Scriptures. It is also noteworthy that in them we are warned a surprising number of times about false messiahs, false prophets and false teachers. So it is a real and big danger that you have to watch out for!


The surest and only way to avoid getting lost

  We must be born again, by the power of the Holy Spirit! Then we get the person of the Holy Spirit to live inside us together with the spirit of Adonai Yeshua, to guide us to all the truth!

- John 3:3-8 >>3 Yeshua replied, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of Elohim." 4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother's womb and be born a second time, can he?"

5 Yeshua answered, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of Elohim. 6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must all be born from above.'

8 The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."<<

- Luke 11:10-13 >>10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 11 What father among you, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"<<

- John 16:13-14  >>13 But when he, the Spirit of Truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come. 14 He will glorify me, because he will receive from me what is mine and will tell it to you.<<

Reflections on Shabat, 24th May 2024

 


  As soon as the sheep hear the familiar voice of their
good shepherd, they quickly and happily run to him.
So also all the disciples of Adonai Yeshua rush to him,
give thanks to him, pray and willingly listen to him 
and follow the instructions they receive from him.


We are the handiwork of Yehowah Elohim

  We are like that especially if we have accepted the message of salvation that has been offered to us in the Scriptures of the New Covenant with the faith of the heart. So it is a matter of a personal decision of the heart to believe in the good news of Yehowah Elohim's work of redemption in his Son on the cross of Calvary and that he raised his Son from the dead on the third day after being nailed to the cross.

  The Son of the Most High, Adonai Yeshua, reconciled us before his Father, us who had already before placed our hope of salvation only in him, and did not rely on any of our own good deeds, nor on our achievements. When we confess Adonai Yeshua also as our own Savior in front of people, then we receive the Holy Spirit as a seal until the day of redemption, as a guarantee of our heavenly inheritance.


Let us reject false traditions and customs!

  Each of us, regardless of our starting point, has several false traditions and habits that it is important for us to give up so that Adonai Yeshua can use us as vessels of His grace to take the message of salvation to those who lack it. Many traditions and harmful habits have, as it were, come as a legacy from our families. We have adopted some of them from our acquaintances, school friends and co-workers.

  Such habits include, for example, laziness, an unhealthy eating and drinking culture, and a wasteful lifestyle. Many people are used to making expensive trips abroad by plane, as if under the pretext of culture and civility, without thinking about how much their travel costs could help the poor and miserable people closest to them, e.g. in disaster areas and countries at war.

  Regardless of the person, we will all have to stand before HaMashiach Yeshua's court to answer for everything we have done and failed to do on earth, even if we could have helped our suffering neighbors in many different ways. The best way now is to find out the various reliable channels through which we can support evangelization in a variety of ways with grants and prayers.


Let us always seek the favor of our Creator!

  Often the opinions of our loved ones, friends, schoolmates and workmates are in conflict with what we ourselves understand to be the will of our Creator. Then we must choose the will of our Creator even at the risk of being rejected by those people.

 I remind the reader of the apostle Paul's important teaching: Gal. 1:9-11
>>9 As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell! 10 Am I now trying to gain the approval of people, or of Elohim? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of HaMashiach! 11 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.<< 


The hope of salvation encourages us to do this!

  Since we know that our life on earth is nothing compared to eternity, let us also act accordingly. After all, we have become partakers of that exceedingly precious salvation through grace and faith alone. Let us therefore be diligent in every kind of good work as we labor together with Adonai Yeshua in his vineyard. Sweating and toil will end soon.

 Soon we will be able to rise up in the winds and clouds to our beloved Savior in the rapture of believers, at the sound of the seventh, last trumpet, and we will become incorruptible. We pass to that wonderful state of being, of which John saw the revelation, and which awaits us in Paradise and in the common hometown of the redeemed, the New Jerusalem. We read verses Rev. 7:16-17 about it

>>16 They will never go hungry or be thirsty again, and the sun will not beat down on them, nor any burning heat, 17 because the Lamb in the middle of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of living water, and Elohim will wipe away every tear from their eyes.<<

Reflections on Shabat, 17th May 2024



Here  we see a happy family on the seashore, standing on the pier and 
watching the sunrise. Theirs love for each other and their children is
beautiful and created by the Creator. It reflects our Savior Adonai
Yeshua's love for his beloved ones in his congregation here on earth.


What does our Creator want to change us into?

  When we read the Bible, we notice how our Creator has tried to make us fit for heaven. That is, those who are worthy to be with him for all eternity and who can rightly be called his children. Being a child comes with rights and obligations. Especially for the children of the Most High, they are necessary.

  Ever since our ancestors broke the prohibition they were given not to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, in paradise, our Creator has striven and taken great efforts to guide us to obedience to his will. According to the Scriptures of the New Covenant, our Creator foreknew that man would fall into sin.

  In the following, I will bring up two examples of how our Creator wants to change us gradually if we only agree to his gracious handling.


What do we learn from Job's sufferings?

  In my opinion, he was one of the best human examples who tried to be obedient to his Creator in everything. I believe that our Creator wanted to teach Job more about what he is like as his Creator and how much he loves him. After all, it is quite a different thing to tremble and fear our Creator than to feel his infinite love and that's why to want to please Him!

  From slavery we learned that the slave had to obey his master in everything. As for children, they too are required to obey their parents, but it is taught to them in a different way, more mercifully, than to slaves. I do not approve of slavery, but from it we can learn how sin completely and mercilessly chains its practitioners. Adonai Yeshua said, "Everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin." John 8:34

  In the end, when Job's relatives and friends abandoned him and his only hope was to meet his Creator in such a way that at least a dialogue would be born. That's what our Creator was striving for in the beginning, but since as a result of the Fall, all of humanity had come under the power of the Devil, the Creator sought the right way to meet Job. Perhaps He thought it was the only way he should had the moral right to show his presence to his creation Job (who, as the whole humanity, was still under dominion of Devil) and show him that he is love and does not bully anyone.

  This is why our Creator incited the Devil to test Job, but two times and strictly limited! Then Devil treated Job really mercilessly and cruelly, first by destroying all his ritches and huge possessions and 10 children, and then on the second time by hitting Job with painful boils all over his body. Our Creator knew what kind of creation Job was and showed the Devil that man, Job, in all his weakness and inadequacy, wants to honor his Creator.

  When Job finally got to meet his Creator, he got to experience his wonderful love. Therefore, our Creator did not need to separately assure that Job is especially beloved to him. I know this from my experience already in my youth, when I had the grace to meet him face to face in the center of Helsinki in 1971. He appeared to me outwardly as a man, but his holiness revealed who He really was, and the infinite love that flowed from him to my whole being left no room for doubt! The words were then unnecessary.

  I've gotten the best poems and songs when I was overwhelmed distressed in my soul. I wouldn't have prepared these many Shabat studies if I hadn't longed to get closer to my Creator and to know him more in the Spirit. While preparing them, I have learned to know Him and his love for me and his other creatures more than before. I still have a lot to learn, but eternity is perhaps enough for that(?)


Why did the Son of the Most High come into the world?

  Anyone who has read through John 3 knows the reason. Adonai Yeshua said the following about it: "For Elohim so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

  Furthermore, Adonai Yeshua said that he came to nullify the works of the Devil as follows: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10 The thief is the Devil. 

  Adonai Yeshua came into the world to seek the lost, heal the sick and call sinners to repentance. He taught about these things, saying:
"The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10
"It is not the healthy who need a healer, but the sick." Luke 5:31
"I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Luke 5:22

  Adonai Yeshua came into the world for a living example to teach us of onto which kind our Creator wants us to become inwardly, to be able to live a happy life forever as his children in heaven. We must learn to love our Creator and all our neighbors! Yeshua HaMashiach is the Creator and Redeemer of mankind. Yehowah Elohim created in him, through him, and into him with the help of his Holy Spirit all that is created in heaven and on earth. He was born as a man, the Son of Man, to be able to act as a defender of people before the Most Holy YHWH Elohim.

  Adonai Yeshua's main mission was to reconcile people to Father Elohim and pay the ransom for us. That payment was his holy blood for our sins:
"5 (Grace and peace also) from Yeshua HaMashiach - the faithful witness, the firstborn from among the dead, the ruler over the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and has set us free from our sins at the cost of his own blood 6 and has appointed us as a kingdom, as priests serving his Elohim and Father - to him be the glory and the power for ever and ever! Amen." Revelation 1:5-6

  The extreme display of love of the Holy Majesty, our Father Yehowah Elohim, towards the fallen human race he created is unfathomable! Humanity was already internally completely corrupted as a result of original sin and ripe for being cast into hell. The greatness of His act of mercy can never be measured in any way! That's why a song I heard from the days of the charismatic movement (1970) still speaks to me: "Yeshua taught us to love each others. He created all nations as one." Eph. 2:14-16

"14 For he (Yeshua HaMashiach) is our peace, the one who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility, 15 when he nullified in his flesh the law of commandments with its decrees. He did this to create in himself one new man out of two, thus making peace, 16 and to reconcile them both in one body to Elohim through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed."

  We show our love for our Creator in the most tangible way by loving all the chosen ones of the New Covenant in the same way that HaMashiach loved the congregation. And by loving our other neighbors because they are all created and loved by our Creator, regardless of what they are and what they do! Elohim loves all people and wants all of us to find the Truth in Yeshua HaMashiach, repent in our lives and be saved.

Reflections on Shabat, 10th May 2024

 


  The photo shows three happy young people with a master's degree diploma. They are smiling at life and have a great unknown future ahead of them.


  I got this topic in a dream, in the morning already on May 5. so that I was then in a pastoral situation where a young woman asked very seriously: "How important is self-development?"

  She meant the spiritual development of oneself, but I started to think about the topic more broadly, because today's societies based on competition in Western countries set demands on everyone that have not existed before. The competition starts at an early age, even in such a way that talented children are taught to play the violin even from the age of 3. The question arises: "Will a small child be forcibly robbed of his safe childhood?"

  The answer to the second question is: "We will be usurped if he is forced to study too early!" That is, a child who should still be able to live freely in children's own games and enjoy them. Of course, it is right to teach a child the right manners around people from an early age, so that he adapts to teamwork, is not a danger to others and gets to enjoy his childhood. I am glad that I myself was able to live such a free childhood.

  Next, I focus on the mandatory continuous development of knowledge and skills of modern people, due to rapid and sometimes large changes in our working life and living environment. After that, I focus on a person's self-initiated spiritual development, which is much freer than that. For believers in Adonai Yeshua, it is much more important than achieving a worldly academic grade!


Mandatory self-development of people

  I worked in computer-aided design for most of my working life. In the early years of my working life in the early 1970s, I still planned and drew with pens and markers on plastic paper, and the work stress was much less. Later, when I moved as a consultant for computer-aided design in the passenger car industry in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the head office of the Volvo Passenger Car Factory, the level of demands and continuous self-education began to increase the stress level. I had to pray a lot!

  At that time, I had an additional problem with poor language skills and the fact that I had no basic training in the passenger car industry. I should have been fluent in the automotive technical vocabulary in English, German and even French, not to mention Swedish. Already at that time, 1985, the motto in the design and development fields was continuous self-development. I could only speak Swedish and English poorly. I only knew the basics of German. Fortunately, I knew where to get help for all of life's problems: By praying for help from Adonai Yeshua!

  The same thing happened when I moved to Finland in the early 1990s, as the only technical designer in a plastics company with about 100 employees. Adding to the stress was the fact that there was no one there who could inspect the 3-D models of the automotive industry I had designed, to spot any errors before using them to make expensive molds. If I had made mistakes, they would have been too expensive for a small company and I would have been fired, as my predecessor there had been. Even the whole company could have went bankrupt if we had loosed our main customer. In that firm, I often had to resort to the help of the Most High with prayers. Sometimes I closed the door of my workroom and went on my face on the floor to pray. I also experienced supernatural help from Adonai Yeshua immediately after the prayer!

  The latest statistics show that people's mental health has increased to a rare extent in all age groups, and the most among young people. The pressure from requirements regarding studies in our society and requirements in working life has caused that young people no longer dare to get married like before. It has already led, and in the coming years even more, to a decrease in the working-age population. It leads to a decrease in tax revenues and forces taxation to be tightened. In addition, Finland is so badly over-indebted that the social safety nets of our welfare society are tearing apart because of that alone. At the same time, the level of education and job requirements and the workload of the working population are increasing!

  I firmly believe that the cause of all the misery that is already happening is the main devil himself! He knows that he has only a short time to torment mankind, because after that he will be cast into the spirit prison, the abyss, for 1000 years. We are entering that era soon. Let's read Revelation 12:12
>>Therefore rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the Devil has come down to you! He is filled with terrible anger, for he knows that he only has a little time!<<

  What is the best medicine for this very stressful time? Quick application for our Savior's help! Let's read the verses in Matt. 11:28-30
>>28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry.<< 


A surprise warning by an angel!

  In the early 1970s, I heard from a young woman who was exceptionally wise that she had already been accepted to the University of Helsinki to study Finnish law. When she was going to the first lecture and was about to leave her overcoat in a separate student's own wardrobe, the following happened:

  When she opened the wardrobe door, she was almost blinded, because a very bright angel in white clothes looked her straight in the eyes and said in a soothing voice: "Peace for you young woman, if you want to know the Truth, then don't start studying Finnish Law!"

  She immediately put on an overcoat, and that was the end of her studies at the University of Helsinki. I thought about it thoroughly and came to the same conclusion as that angel's warning, because the Finnish Law was then only a little based on the Bible and only slightly on the New Testament. Since then it has deteriorated a lot more, unfortunately.


For all those without an academic final degree

  If you haven't achieved such a position and you haven't even completed a high school diploma, it doesn't make you any worse as a person before your Creator, even if your lower income level and your general esteem in the eyes of people label you as such.

 There is a special promise for you in the Bible: 1. Cor. 2:6-8
>>6 Now we do speak wisdom among the mature, but not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are perishing. 7 Instead we speak the wisdom of Elohim, hidden in a mystery, that Elohim determined before the ages for our glory. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it. If they had known it, they would not have crucified the Adonai of glory.<<

  The following promise also belongs just to you: 1. Cor. 2:9-10
>>9 But just as it is written, "Things that no eye has seen, or ear heard, or mind imagined, are the things Elohim has prepared for those who love him." 10 Elohim has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of Elohim.<<


Voluntary spiritual self-development

  Before this current competitive society, life was much freer and people were able to develop themselves quite peacefully in order to learn the skills of their secular profession and to gain a deeper understanding of religious matters. Nowadays, it is especially important to read the Bible daily with prayer, to think about the meaning of what you read for that particular day and to try to put what you have learned into practice! Let's peacefully build each one internally in the spirit to become a member of the royal priesthood and worthy to enter the glory of heaven! For this we need rebirth from the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word, constant praying in the Holy Spirit and the fellowship of believers, not to mention the act of repentance!

  It is very wise that we do not aspire to such clerical jobs for which we do not have sufficient prerequisites based on education, work experience and natural gifts. After all, it can happen that we get elected and get into such huge problems, which I myself got into a few times. As a result, I then became such a brain damage patient, but luckily I know my heavenly Chief Physician Adonai Yeshua intimately! Hallelujah!

  Two things came to mind from the computer era: Windows PC restore point and, if necessary, resetting the device to factory settings, if the device has gone as messed up as an old cabinet clock and it sings false time like a cuckoo clock. I have had to go to a restore point on the PC a few times and at least once to factory settings.

  Then I lost at least several updates that had to be downloaded again and I also lost files, unless I had moved them to e.g. a memory stick. An external cloud server was not yet available at the time, or if it was, it cost too much, at least for me, who have always been frugal when it comes to money.

  As for PC's point of return, it is a good example that we believers in Yeshua must return again and again to the place given to us from heaven: to the cross of Calvary to look at our suffering and loving Savior who assures us, “This I have done for you! Everything has already been filled in for you!"

  With regard to 'resetting the PC to factory settings', spiritually speaking, the following wonderful opportunity corresponds to all human beings who have strayed far from their Creator and sunk in their sins: Come to Adonai Yeshua just as you are and you will have the opportunity to be born into a completely new spiritual creation! We therefore read verses 2 Cor. 5:17-20

>>17 So then, if anyone is in HaMashiach, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away - look, what is new has come! 18 And all these things are from Elohim who reconciled us to himself through HaMashiach, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

19 In other words, in HaMashiach Elohim was reconciling the world to himself, not counting people's trespasses against them, and he has given us the message of reconciliation.

20 Therefore we are ambassadors for HaMashiach, as though Elohim were making His plea through us. We plead with you on HaMashiach's behalf, "Be reconciled to Elohim!"<<

Reflections on Shabat, 3rd May 2024



It will soon be time for big garden parties again in the northern 
hemisphere. Pork sausages and pork are grilled and eaten to the 
point of overeating, not to mention the strong drinks. But Adonai has 
very important to say to these sorrowless and gluttonous sinful people: 
Isaiah 66:15-17

>>"15 For look, Adonai comes with fire, his chariots come like a windstorm, to reveal his raging anger, his battle cry, and his flaming arrows. 16 For Adonai judges all humanity with fire and his sword; Adonai will kill many.

17 "As for those who consecrate and ritually purify themselves so they can follow their leader and worship in the sacred orchards, those who eat the flesh of pigs and other disgusting creatures, like mice - they will all be destroyed together," says Adonai."<<


Does that warning also apply to Christians?

  It applies to them as well as to the Israelites, because when the expression 'all humanity' is used in the Tanakh, it means all people from all nations. That means you and me too!

  You may ask, how can our Creator be so merciless as to forbid people to eat such delicacies, because grilled pork and pork sausages taste so delicious, especially when well seasoned and dressed with delicious mustard?

  It is precisely about obedience to his word and will. The Israelis didn't starve to death for 40 years in the barren Arabian sand desert while wandering, although they did not get such 'delicacies' to satisfy their appetites and lusts. Even today, we have several permitted options that taste much better than pork dishes and it's not a matter of taste!

  Many Christians appeal to Paul's promise to the Gentile: 1. Cor. 10:25-26 
>>25 Eat anything that is sold in the marketplace without questions of conscience, 26 for the earth and its abundance are Adonai's.<< 

  I don't know if it's a typo. I gues that it is, because Paul himself walked as a believer in Adonai Yeshua still according to the Law of Moses. Acts 21:24
>>take them and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses, so that they may have their heads shaved. Then everyone will know there is nothing in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself live in conformity with the law.<<

  Some appeal to these teachings of Adonai Yeshua: Matt. 15:11 and Mark. 7:18-19

Matt. 15:11 >>What defiles a person is not what goes into the mouth; it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles a person."<< 

Mark. 7:18-19 >>18 He replied to them, "So you too are without understanding? Don't you see that nothing going into a person from outside can make him unclean? 19 For it does not go into his heart but into his stomach, and it passes out into the latrine." (Thus he declared all foods ritually*) clean.**)<< 

*) David H. Stern has added the word 'ritually' to the Bible translation (Complete Jewish Bible) and emphasizes in his Jewish New Testament Commentary that here ritual purity cannot mean that e.g. pork is thus declared kosher, but here the reference is to the verses Mark. 7:1-4, where it is said that the Pharisees themselves invented numerous rules related to ritual purity, which do not belong to the teachings of the Tanakh at all! Thus, the kosher food regulation is still valid!

**) It is interesting to note that the phrase in brackets is completely missing from the Aramaic to English translation of the Lamsa Peshitta! That's why it's probably a later addition, i.e. a falsification of the Bible's word by those who liked the pork party(?)

  I think that in both of those passages, Adonai is referring to the fact that a person's soul is not defiled even by unclean food. Modern science proves that a person can get a disease and even die from it. Based on those verses, a person can eat any kind of food to stay alive, even meat from non-kosher animals in emergencies and exceptional circumstances. I emphasize that only in emergencies. Unfortunately, the most Christians have made emergencies and exceptional circumstances a common practice!

  This is how I justify why the verses above - immediately below the attached image Isaiah 66:15-17 the warning is still valid and current. 


So what is healthy to eat?

  According to the Tanakh, kosher foods are healthy, and by eating them, a person also honors his Creator. The list of foods allowed to humans can be found in Leviticus 11:2  and onwards. 

  Nowadays there is also the so-called Numerous additives harmful to health are added to the 'allowed' foods, so you should be careful when reading the product descriptions of the foods. The surest way to eat healthily is to follow a kosher diet and prepare the food yourself, starting with their raw materials. Overeating is a sin and of course also unhealthy!


How do we best learn obedience to Adonai?

  Everything starts with reading the Bible and receiving its teachings. You should be very careful about the teachings of teachers who in one way or another change the original teaching of the Bible. It is very important to consider the overall revelation of the Bible, and not to justify any of your views with only partial quotations.

  All the so-called The teachings of the 'Church Fathers' should be approached with great criticality. Some of the teachings of the Bible are often learned only through error, because the teaching is so often misleading and tickles the natural man's mind. The Holy Spirit is the surest and best explainer of the Bible's teachings. He must be given authority. Let's read of that: John 16:13

>>Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.<<

  It is good to remember that the teaching of Adonai Yeshua and the apostles authorized by him is largely based on the teachings of the Tanakh, although they contain the teachings of the New Covenant as the Pearl, believing in which we receive salvation through faith in the grace of Adonai Yeshua.


As for discipline in general

  When a parent disciplines a child and a teacher disciplines a student, the best way to make them learn is to do the discipline in love and gently. It has been established that even a dog learns best when it experiences caressing, encouragement and rewards when it shows obedience. The IQ of humans is much lower compared to our Creator than the IQ of dogs compared to us.

   Many people nowadays think that our Creator has become more 'merciful', i.e. 'more tolerant of our sins' over the millennia. On that score they greatly err, for it is said of his rules and he has said concerning himself as follows: Psalm 119:152 and Malachi 3:6

Psa. 119:152 >>I learned long ago that you ordained your rules to last.<<

Mal. 3:6 >>For I am Yehowah, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.<<

  Because he does not change and all his rules last, we must change to become like him. Let us agree that he will change us to his liking!
