>>Look unto me, and be you saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am Elohim, and there is none else.<< Isa. 45:22
>>For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of Elohim is eternal life through Yeshua HaMashiach our Adonai.<< Rom. 6:23
The nations walk in the darkness
As a result of the Fall, all the nations of the world wander in spiritual darkness, not knowing where they are going. We read in the verse Isa. 60:2
>>For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.<<
Promises of the coming of Light into the world
Yehowah has promised in the Tanakh (OT) and fulfilled his promise in the Brit Chadashah (NT) to send a light to all nations, a light for all people:
A) Tanakh: Isa. 42:6-7
>>6 I the Yehowah have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.<<
B) Brit Chadashah: John 1:9-13
>>9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power (or authority or right) to become the children of Elohim, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Elohim.<<
What is that Name?
Let's read the original text acc. to Acts 4:9-12 without changing the original name.
>>9 Jos If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yeshua HaMashiach HaNotzri, whom ye crucified, whom Elohim raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.<<
A Memory from the Kibbutz, year 1977
Since the workday ended at 2 p.m., I sometimes traveled by bus from Kibbutz Kiryat Anavim to Jerusalem to get a closer look at the Holy City. I left for the return trip only after the sun had set. It set quickly at around 6:30 p.m.
How could the bus driver not drive through the kibbutz! Fortunately, the alert Arabs shouted to the driver that a young man was going to the kibbutz. The driver stopped immediately after the fork in the road and I started walking along the right way, the sun already setting.
The distance was perhaps about 1.5 mi (3 km). There were no street lights, but fortunately the moonlight and the stars illuminated my way. I did remember that the night watchman of the kibbutz was unpredictable, as he had shot the kibbutz girls' watchdog one night because it annoyed him.
I thought he might think I was an Arab breaking into a kibbutz at night. So I sang English and Hebrew hymns of praise the whole way. A pack of wild dogs howled in the distance, accompanying my songs with devotion. Fortunately, the guard didn't shoot me.
P.S. 1 You can check out the interesting stages of my life from the link below. My life has been a great adventure. There have been successes and setbacks. Adonai Yeshua has always helped me!
