Reflections on Shabat, October 25, 2024

While waiting for a new topic for next Shabat study, I saw on October 21
the dream in which at least four people I know would die within a year!
Still not recognized none of them in the dream. In age they were quite old
and one young people was also in the crowd. I have once before written a
study on exactly this same topic. That's why I wasn't quite sure I should
write about it again(?) But I was told yesterday though, through a message
that one of my dear friends,
an older woman who has been in true faith
almost all her life and whom I greatle respect, has been seriously ill for a
long time till now. She has lung cancer, although she has never smoked.
The disease has progressed already so far that her departure time for
eternity is only a few more week, unless a true miracle happens for her.
as if to make sure I saw also on the night till October 24 a dream:

Acc. to it, a major accident will soon occur here in Finland*)The accident
site did not look like a Finnish landscape!
Then a large truck goes off the
the road and plunges at high speed down the hill, to  place where there is
several people together. Then a large group of people of many ages will die
immediately. Unfortunate many young people also will die then, if we don't
stop that tragedy through prayers!  Please, let's pray! So do I!

*) The dream did not show where the accident would happen, unless it was prevented
by prayers. I just used my logical reasoning ability. The driver of the truck was neither
a terrorist nor a native Finn.
His nationality was told me: He'll be an Israeli man.

Death doesn't always come with an alarm bell around its neck!

Nowadays, death can also happen unexpectedly to very young people, teenagers and even babies, especially on war fronts. Anyone can die in a car accident where a drunk, drug user or mixed user drives their vehicle over those on the sidewalk or crashes head-on into the oncoming traffic lane.

Although many feel this as fear-mongering, numerous examples show that just such accidents happen every day in different parts of the world and the mass media take care of it. Only optimists think that nothing like that will happen to them. Does such an attitude make sense? There is not, and Solomon the Ecclesiastes already wrote about it: Ecclesiastes 9:1-3

>>1 For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of Elohim: no man knows either love or hatred by all that is before them. [(I considered…) : In Hebrew: I gave, or, set to my heart]

2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

3 This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
<<

But the Ecclesiastes (Solomon) did not yet know how Yehowah would deal with the archenemy of people, death, because Isaiah prophesied about it about 300 years later. Although Solomon was very wise, he also did not know that Yehowah deals with his chosen saints very differently than other people on earth. He prepares his chosen ones through trials for eternity, as his children.

Regarding my friend who is currently suffering from lung cancer: I have been praying for her for decades and recently daily without knowing about her serious illness. I experienced one of miraculous healings from a high when I was visiting her and her family in the late 1970s. I fell ill during rainy trip there with a high fever and I got healed by listening to her singing and playing.

When I was younger, I even tried to pressure our heavenly Father to heal all those Christians who were sick! Over time, I came to understand that none of us will get ill and live healthy during our lives, unless he decrees so! Yeshua Shirach wrote in the Apogryph book as follows: Shirach 39:16
>>All Yehowah's works are exceedingly wonderful, and all that he has decreed will come to pass in its time.<<

Even Moses, who talked with Yehowah face to face and knew him very good, wrote of him: Deuteronomy 32:4
>>He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment (righteous) : a Elohim of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.<<

Although I still pray for the health of that dear friend of mine, I do not ask our loving heavenly Father to heal her, but I add at the end of my prayers: Thy good will be done! In the following I will tell you an example from my notes from the year 1980, where it was a case of a man who had never smoked and was slowly dying of lung cancer. His widow told me about him.

Youth meeting in Saalem, Helsinki

I went with one of my friends one Saturday evening to a youth meeting in Saalem. I was disturbed by the loud and disturbing music there, even though the choir sang spiritual songs with very good lyrics. The very next night, I had a dream that I went to deliver a message of salvation in a wonderful summer landscape.

I had the New Testament in my hip pocket and I was terribly tired walking along the dirt road that curves from right to left. I saw the name of the road on the road sign: Nuolitie and the address was Nuolitie 6. I knocked on the front door and an old pale woman who looked like she had been crying opened the door. The dream ended there. I remembered it well when I woke up and wondered?

Travel to road Nuolitie 6

I had no idea where such a road was located, but I used logical thinking and came to the conclusion that it must be in Helsinki. When I looked at the phonebook map, there it was, in the northwestern part of the city: Pitäjänmäki, Reimarla. I decided that same day to go to that address with the Bible with me. It was strange that the dream had a summer landscape, but at that time it was a snowy winter?

When I walked along Nuolitie, it curved exactly the way I saw it in my dream, even though I had never walked in Reimarla before or even moved there. Nuolitie was a residential area at that time. I rang the doorbell and the woman I saw in the dream opened the door.

A grief-stricken widow

The woman had been widowed only a few weeks earlier. She had no children. Her very long-time sole tenant had also died about a month earlier. She was all alone without a friend. She was just about to go buy a wreath for her husband's grave, so we agreed that I would return to her house in a couple of days. When I returned there, the woman had put wood to burn in the fireplace and we sat down to talk and drink tea. My task was to comfort her and invite her to follow Savior and I gave her an invitation to an evangelical meeting.

I had bought a thin Christian book just for her. As I remember, the name of the book was: "When your loved one sleeps away". The woman said that her husband had never smoked and did not drink alcohol. Still, the man fell ill with lung cancer and weighed only about 30 kg when he died at home. The woman was not a believer, but said that as a child she went to a Pentecostal tent meeting and liked the songs she heard there. Bible verse suitable for this is: Isaiah 61:1

>>He has…sent me to bind up the brokenhearted.<<

Regarding me myself

I have been seriously ill for years and longed to go to my beloved Saviour, but decided to live as long as Yehowah Elohim has arranged for me. Despite my pain, I will try to spend the remaining days of my life praying for others in need and supporting them in many ways. Also economically, because there is no shortage of poor people in the world.
I have been granted the part of a blessed giver, as a late missionary wrote me over fifty years ago. Be blessed in Adonai Yeshua!

Reflections on Shabat, October 18, 2024

In the picture, Abraham is just about to sacrifice his only son Isaac,
on the Holy Mount Moriah as a burnt offering (at present-day Calvary)
to Yehowah, at his command. His faith in Yehowah was only put to the
test, for Yehowah never demand or accept that a person be sacrificed to
him as a burnt offering. Abraham passed the test of faith. Therefore he
became for all believers father of faith righteousness. Yehowah knew
what he himself would do on that very mountain a good 2000 years later:
He namely sacrificed his only begotten Son there as a sin offering for us.

Why was such an infinitely precious sacrifice needed?

It was the only and apparently the most extreme way to tell mankind how much Yehowah hates sin and disobedience to him. He did it because of our original and inherited sin and our own sins, so that all of us, like Adam and Eve, would have the opportunity to show faith and trust in him. In that sense, we are in a similar test of faith.

At the same time Yehowah showed how much he loves the people he created! He genuinely wants to save all people, but he has made it a condition of faith in his Son Adonai Yeshua's voluntary sacrifice for sin on Calvary's cross almost 2000 years ago. After all, it was an immense act of mercy from the Majesty who loved us lost people so much.

No other person would have been suitable for our sin offering, because according to the Tanakh, the offering must be without blemish, which means that the person who could atone for our sins would have to be sinless. That is why our Savior Yeshua HaMashiach renounced his position in glory and was born as a human being, proclaiming repentance to people and saying that the kingdom of heaven has come near.

The Kingdom of Heaven came close to people precisely through the person of Adonai Yeshua, because in him lived the Holy Spirit of the Majesty, Yehowah Elohim. By performing signs that no one else had done before him, he proved himself to be the promised HaMashiach (Messiah) to Israel and all nations, which Yehowah already promised in vv.
 Genesis 3:14-15

>>14 The Yehowah Elohim said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all the wild beasts and all the living creatures of the field! On your belly you will crawl and dust you will eat all the days of your life. 15 And I will put hostility between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring; her offspring will attack your head, and you will attack her offspring's heel."<<

Why did it have to be a blood sacrifice?

Humanity's blood was defiled by the fall of our ancestors. We have inherited from them a polluted blood, as a result of which we are more inclined to sin than to live righteously. The life in the blood is passed down from generation to generation, as is original sin, which is inseparably involved in it. That's why we simply can't live a sinless life on our own!

The only way to completely get rid of that inheritance of the Devil is to be born as a new spiritual creation through faith in Adonai Yeshua. After we take him to live in our hearts through faith, he begins an internal salvation process in us, as a result of which we are born by the power of his Word into imperishable creatures, no longer under the control of the Devil.

After giving Adonai Yeshua full dominion over our hearts, souls and bodies, we are allowed to pass under the cleansing of his holy blood. Its example is the wine of the Holy Communion, which is a metaphor for the New Covenant. It represents the holy blood he shed for us. Likewise, the Communion Bread represents his body, which was broken for us.

According to the Tanakh, the Great Day of Atonement is once a year. It is Yom Kippur, which this year was celebrated on October 11-12. It is the holiest day of the Jewish year. It shows how important it was to sacrifice a heifer as a blood sacrifice for the sins of the people. We read
 Leviticus 16:17-18

>>17 Nobody is to be in the Meeting Tent when he enters to make atonement in the holy place until he goes out, and he has made atonement on his behalf, on behalf of his household, and on behalf of the whole assembly of Israel. 18 Then he is to go out to the altar which is before the Yehowah and make atonement for it. He is to take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it all around on the horns of the altar.<<

The writer of Hebrews also referred to that feast when he explained how important it is that our Savior's holy blood produces atonement for us, but only for us who believe in his perfect and holy blood sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. Hebr. 9:13-14

>>13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow sprinkled on those who are defiled consecrated them and provided ritual purity, 14 how much more will the blood of HaMashiach, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to Elohim, purify our consciences from dead works to worship the living Elohim!<<

Let us sanctify the Holy Communion!

Since we have been purchased with the precious blood, innocent suffering and death of our Savior Yeshua HaMashiach, let us keep the celebration of the Adonai's Supper highly holy, remembering our Savior's tremendous sacrifice for us on the cross of Calvary, where he gained eternal victory over the enemy of our souls, Satan, defeating him once and for all through his own death!

Our Savior asked us to celebrate the Adonai's Supper often in his memory. Not only because he himself wants it, but so that we would not forget it, but would always remember how dearly we were redeemed from the power of sin and death, lest we end up in hell! I personally celebrate Holy Communion once a week and have done so for several years.
 1 Cor. 11:23-26

>>23 For I received from the Adonai what I also passed on to you, that the Adonai Yeshua on the night in which he was betrayed took bread, 24 and after he had given thanks he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me." 25 In the same way, he also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, every time you drink it, in remembrance of me." 26 For every time you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Adonai's death until he comes.<<

Maran ata! Our Adonai will come! / Marana ta! Come Adonai!

Reflections on Shabat, October 11, 2024

Many small nations need security guarantees from powerful nations.
Such are Finland, Israel and many other nations with small populations.
That is why several and different state associations have been established
only for security guarantees. Finland joined NATO on 4.4.2023 and Sweden
on 7.3.2024 Therefore both states have to pay more for their security than
at present.
Russia already warned about 20 years ago that if Finland joins
NATO, they considered it a hostile gesture towards them and they warned
several times about the consequences if a war breaks out between NATO
and Russia, which is possible in the future, because Finland has a border
with Russia a total of 1,343.6 km or 834 miles. The border in land areas is
1080 km, i.e 671 miles. Together we annulled the 1948 YYA agreement in
1992.
It was supposed to guarantee "friendship, cooperation and assistance
when necessary."
It was replaced by an agreement on "good neighborliness
and cooperation".

That agreement expired too in 2022 when Russia attacked
Ukraine on February 24, 2022. I understand very well our non-Christian
leaders who were horrified by Russia's brutal attack on Ukraine. That war
has already
lasted 1 year 8 months
and very many civil have died there.

How reliable are NATO's security guarantees?

A lot of them have been justified by the deterrence promised by Article 5. By reading its contents more carefully, you can see that the military aid given by other NATO allies is voluntary, so it is not completely certain that NATO member countries will rush to help Finland in the war.

  >>Collective defence means that an attack against one Ally is considered as an attack against all Allies. The principle of collective defence is enshrined in Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.<<
https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/official_texts_17120.htm

If it so happens that the other NATO member countries are of the opinion that Finland has itself caused the fact that Russia has started to consider Finland a security threat because NATO troops are stationed in our country and we have an enormously long land, water and sea border with them, then they may not give (enough) military aid because the aid is based on their discretion.

The fear of war has restrained the practice of major sins

We already learned from the Bible that Israel went to kneeling prayer and, if necessary, fasting when it was not yet so hardened and trusted that the best help would come from Yehowah Elohim. But today Israel relies more on its own military power and the US is its close ally.

Relying on US's help is, however, deceitful if its political leadership no longer finds it useful for them, but begins to adapt along with the majority of nations to condemn Israel's military actions to defend its civilian population as too brutal, cruel and unreasonable.

The current president of the US has quite a lot of influence regarding the annual military aid and separate security guarantees given to Israel, because the US constitution is not carved in stone forever, as it was in the 2 stone tablets of the Law that Moses received.

Finns also prayed during the war

In June, in the Continuation War of 1944, a surprising Russian offensive began. Russia had 2 million men on our borders from the Carelia Isthmus to the Arctic Ocean. A considerable number compared to the entire population of Finland, 3.8 million. There was a lack of food and sufficient armament in Finland.

President Risto Ryti's wife Gerda Ryti spoke to the nation on the radio and urged all Finns several times to pray for a miracle. Even in grocery stores, people knelt down to pray and wept before their Creator. Churches were filled with praying people and our Creator answered their prayers! Praise and glory of that to Yehowah alone!

Unfortunately, even the basics of Christianity have been abandoned in Finland, and the teaching of confessional Christianity in schools is prohibited by law. Teachers who violate it are first warned, and then if they disobey, they are fired. I knew an elementary school math teacher in Helsinki. He gave his students free tickets to the movie "The King of kings" and was fired. This happened already in the late 1970s. The hatred towards Christianity has increased here a lot since then.

The real and surest security guarantees

Our Creator, Yehowah Elohim, loves the nations and their inhabitants. He is the best guarantor of our safety in times of trouble as well as peace. I know this from several personal experiences. I've been in such dangerous situations several times that without His help I wouldn't be here writing a blogger post for you. Only He can give security guarantees even in eternity to all who here have wholeheartedly relied on Him!

Admittedly, I have not been in nearly as many dangers as the apostle Paul wrote that he had been. I am attaching a quote from his second letter to the Corinthians. 2 Cor. 11:24-27 and I recommend reading the whole chapter, if you are troubled by even a little disdain for your faith from non-believers or others!

>>
24 Five times I received from the Jews forty lashes less one. 25 Three times I was beaten with a rod. Once I received a stoning. Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea. 26 I have been on journeys many times, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from robbers, in dangers from my own countrymen, in dangers from Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers at sea, in dangers from false brothers, 27 in hard work and toil, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, many times without food, in cold and without enough clothing.<<

I once drowned in a mud pond when I was 3 years old, and I was given the grace to return to life as a result of my Christian mother's prayer. A few times I have been attacked with the intention of killing me, but I have received supernatural help in time when I prayed. Once I was in Sweden in the winter -18 *C in a freezing cold, homeless area, but by God's grace I got a car ride from an unknown young man (named Leif Lindfors, first name namesake).

He took me (as an answer to my prayer) at the Norrköping train station and bought me a train ticket for a sleeping car seat, gave me 20 SEK money to buy an evening meal and from there I managed to travel almost 8 hours to Gothenburg, from there I took a change train to Borås and I arrived at there at 2 pm on Friday, well before Shabbat started.

Three times I've almost dead to a violent fever, where my normal temperature +36 *C was well above +40 *C and I already started shaking, my heart was cramping and I couldn' see clearly. That's when my believing friends started praying and singing the old verse "Take a path from the herb garden, take it to Calvary" I listened it and was completely healed immediately! HalleluYah!

Reflections on Shabat, October 4, 2024

I met an elderly woman on October 1st. She lives in the same apartment
building,
where I have lived for more than 13 years. She complained that
someone had called
her doorbell at 4 in the morning and woke him up
in the middle of her sleep.
I told her that it was annoying to wake up in
the middle of dreams and I continued that
nowadays people don't know
how to behave as well as they used to will. They are now becoming meaner
than before, because the Bible tells, this world is in the power of Evil, but
only until the appointed time. (Dan. 7:12-27) I didn't know her very good.
Then she surprised me totally! I will tell you what she answered me next.

The woman said she wanted to go to Paradise!

She said that the Bible verse I was referring to is a partial quote from the verse 1 John 5:19 and that she wants to go to paradise on earth after she dies. The reason she said was that the Ancestors ruined her future on earth with their fall into sin and that she wants to get compensation for it and live here.

I answered that she remembers correctly, because the quote is partly from that very verse, but even though the New Jerusalem will come down from heaven to the earth, before that the chosen saints of Adonai Yeshua will be taken up to him in the winds and clouds, i.e. into the upper air! We will be raptured as new spiritual creations after turning before that into eternal beings.

I told that it doesn't matter to me whether I am on earth or in the third heaven, where the apostle Paul was taken and which he named Paradise, as long as I can always be with my Savior, because his presence is the same for me as being in heaven. Without him, heaven would not be worth anything to me, and I would feel like a stranger there too.

Do you also want to go to Paradise?

The Jewish New Year begins on the 3rd-4th October -
Ros ha-Sana (5785) - and even then it is appropriate to ask: "Are you on your way to Paradise?" Adonai Yeshua said: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life! No one can come to the Father but through me!" He, the Good Shepherd and the greatest Teacher, guides us to the fountains of living waters. Rev. 7:15-17

>>15 For this reason they are before the throne of Elohim, and they serve him day and night in his temple, and the one seated on the throne will shelter them.

16 They will never go hungry or be thirsty again, and the sun will not beat down on them, nor any burning heat, 17 because the Lamb in the middle of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of living water, and Elohim will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
<<

What kind of residence is Paradise?

The word Paradise means the following: "According to etymology, the word 'paradise' comes from the Avestan word paridaeza (pari, around; daeza, wall), which means a walled garden." From the Writings of the New Covenant we get additional information, based on which we understand that Paradise is a place and state of being where rest, peace, joy and love prevail. Everything there is in perfect harmony.

It is the perfectly lovely, beautiful and invigorating garden of Elohim's eternal kingdom, through which flows the river of the water of life, also called the crystal river. On both sides of the river grow fruit trees that bear new fruit every month and its leaves are for the healing of all nations. Rev. 22:1-2

>>
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life - water as clear as crystal - pouring out from the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb, 2 flowing down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river is the tree of life producing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month of the year. Its leaves are for the healing of the nations.<<

It is the opposite of the current state of affairs in the world. Here nations make war against each other and people compete against each other to get the best possible profession and position in society. The moments of rest, peace, joy and love are like a mist here, which soon evaporates and all that remains is a longing to find something permanent.

What kind of residence is Hell?

Our Savior warned that it is so terrible one. That is why he was born as a child, grew into a man and was ready to suffer the greatest possible sufferings for everyone and died for us on the cross of Calvary and thus atoned for all our sins before his Father by shedding his holy blood and gives us the opportunity to be saved. Provided that we believe and trust him and follow him on the path of life.

If we reject our Savior's gracious call to salvation, we will eventually end up in that awful place from which there is no way out. There, no one is comforted by the fact that they see many others who have rejected their call to salvation. Constant and unending pain and anguish plagues them there. Mark 9:47-48

>>
47 If your eye causes you to sin, tear it out! It is better to enter into the kingdom of Elohim with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, 48 where their worm never dies and the fire is never quenched.<<

Unfortunately, nowadays many Bible teachers teach that there is no hell, or if there is, at least no one is tortured there forever. That is why it is worth reminding what Isaiah wrote about it a long time ago and the reader will notice that he wrote in harmony with our Savior. Isaiah 66:22-24

>>
22 "For just as the new heavens and the new earth I am about to make will remain standing before me," says the Yehowah, "so your descendants and your name will remain. 23 From one month to the next and from one Shabat to the next, all people will come to worship me," says the Yehowah. 24 "They will go out and observe the corpses of those who rebelled against me, for the maggots that eat them will not die, and the fire that consumes them will not die out. All people will find the sight abhorrent."<< The Complete Jewish Bible and the Peshitta are also similar in content to this horror description.

This is why our search time here is infinitely valuable! Let's use it right!
