Reflections on Shabat, October 4, 2024

I met an elderly woman on October 1st. She lives in the same apartment
building,
where I have lived for more than 13 years. She complained that
someone had called
her doorbell at 4 in the morning and woke him up
in the middle of her sleep.
I told her that it was annoying to wake up in
the middle of dreams and I continued that
nowadays people don't know
how to behave as well as they used to will. They are now becoming meaner
than before, because the Bible tells, this world is in the power of Evil, but
only until the appointed time. (Dan. 7:12-27) I didn't know her very good.
Then she surprised me totally! I will tell you what she answered me next.

The woman said she wanted to go to Paradise!

She said that the Bible verse I was referring to is a partial quote from the verse 1 John 5:19 and that she wants to go to paradise on earth after she dies. The reason she said was that the Ancestors ruined her future on earth with their fall into sin and that she wants to get compensation for it and live here.

I answered that she remembers correctly, because the quote is partly from that very verse, but even though the New Jerusalem will come down from heaven to the earth, before that the chosen saints of Adonai Yeshua will be taken up to him in the winds and clouds, i.e. into the upper air! We will be raptured as new spiritual creations after turning before that into eternal beings.

I told that it doesn't matter to me whether I am on earth or in the third heaven, where the apostle Paul was taken and which he named Paradise, as long as I can always be with my Savior, because his presence is the same for me as being in heaven. Without him, heaven would not be worth anything to me, and I would feel like a stranger there too.

Do you also want to go to Paradise?

The Jewish New Year begins on the 3rd-4th October -
Ros ha-Sana (5785) - and even then it is appropriate to ask: "Are you on your way to Paradise?" Adonai Yeshua said: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life! No one can come to the Father but through me!" He, the Good Shepherd and the greatest Teacher, guides us to the fountains of living waters. Rev. 7:15-17

>>15 For this reason they are before the throne of Elohim, and they serve him day and night in his temple, and the one seated on the throne will shelter them.

16 They will never go hungry or be thirsty again, and the sun will not beat down on them, nor any burning heat, 17 because the Lamb in the middle of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of living water, and Elohim will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

What kind of residence is Paradise?

The word Paradise means the following: "According to etymology, the word 'paradise' comes from the Avestan word paridaeza (pari, around; daeza, wall), which means a walled garden." From the Writings of the New Covenant we get additional information, based on which we understand that Paradise is a place and state of being where rest, peace, joy and love prevail. Everything there is in perfect harmony.

It is the perfectly lovely, beautiful and invigorating garden of Elohim's eternal kingdom, through which flows the river of the water of life, also called the crystal river. On both sides of the river grow fruit trees that bear new fruit every month and its leaves are for the healing of all nations. Rev. 22:1-2

>>
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life - water as clear as crystal - pouring out from the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb, 2 flowing down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river is the tree of life producing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month of the year. Its leaves are for the healing of the nations.<<

It is the opposite of the current state of affairs in the world. Here nations make war against each other and people compete against each other to get the best possible profession and position in society. The moments of rest, peace, joy and love are like a mist here, which soon evaporates and all that remains is a longing to find something permanent.

What kind of residence is Hell?

Our Savior warned that it is so terrible one. That is why he was born as a child, grew into a man and was ready to suffer the greatest possible sufferings for everyone and died for us on the cross of Calvary and thus atoned for all our sins before his Father by shedding his holy blood and gives us the opportunity to be saved. Provided that we believe and trust him and follow him on the path of life.

If we reject our Savior's gracious call to salvation, we will eventually end up in that awful place from which there is no way out. There, no one is comforted by the fact that they see many others who have rejected their call to salvation. Constant and unending pain and anguish plagues them there. Mark 9:47-48

>>
47 If your eye causes you to sin, tear it out! It is better to enter into the kingdom of Elohim with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, 48 where their worm never dies and the fire is never quenched.<<

Unfortunately, nowadays many Bible teachers teach that there is no hell, or if there is, at least no one is tortured there forever. That is why it is worth reminding what Isaiah wrote about it a long time ago and the reader will notice that he wrote in harmony with our Savior. Isaiah 66:22-24

>>
22 "For just as the new heavens and the new earth I am about to make will remain standing before me," says the Yehowah, "so your descendants and your name will remain. 23 From one month to the next and from one Shabat to the next, all people will come to worship me," says the Yehowah. 24 "They will go out and observe the corpses of those who rebelled against me, for the maggots that eat them will not die, and the fire that consumes them will not die out. All people will find the sight abhorrent."<< The Complete Jewish Bible and the Peshitta are also similar in content to this horror description.

This is why our search time here is infinitely valuable! Let's use it right!
