Reflections on Shabat, October 29, 2024

The only and real obstacle to man's salvation is his unbelief.
The result of this is numerous different sins, of which there
are long lists in the Bible, especially in the NT. The reason for
unbelief is that people do not trust the love of their Creator
and therefore prefer to live in their sins.
The longer a person
lives in his sins, the further he will stray into darkness and
finally he will not even believe in the existence of any Creator!
The inescapable truth of the Bible is that people must believe
in the existence of our Creator and turn away from sins. In this
New Covenant era, we must also believe in Adonai Yeshua as
the atoning sacrifice for our sins and begin to follow Him!

A rescue operation is underway in the midst of humanity

It has been going on since our ancestors were expelled from Paradise. Every person dreams of getting to a place where there is rest, peace and love. We need love, acceptance and someone who understands our difficulties and problems. Someone, who can help us with our deepest and most secret problems that we hide from people.

Our beloved Heavenly Father, Yehowah Elohim, knows everything about us very precisely, and we cannot hide anything from Him. He reads the depths of our souls like an open book. What is more, He wants and can help us in all earthly matters and above all in matters related to our eternity, because He longs for us and knows that we are lost.

There is an operation underway, in which our Creator first sent prophets during the Law Covenant to exhort people to obedience to His will. Now, in the New Covenant, He exhorts us to believe that we have already been fully reconciled through the sacrifice of His Son HaMashiach Yeshua on Calvary. Everything is ready! We only need to accept salvation!

What sin destroys a human soul?

The mother of all sins is if we do not believe our Creator to be trustworthy. This is unbelief. In other words, if we consider him a liar. He is unyielding in this regard, and will not and cannot save anyone who doubts his righteousness, and does not believe that he is a pure, righteous, and in all his deeds a trustworthy and merciful Majesty.

Unbelief ultimately leads a person not only to a sin from which he can never be forgiven. A more miserable spiritual state is impossible to imagine! Such a person no longer has any chance of salvation. This is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and it means that a person begins to consciously mock the merciful Holy Spirit. There are at least two warnings about this in the NT:

1) Luke 12:10
>>And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the person who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.<<

2) Hebr. 10:28-29
>>28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of Elohim, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?<<

Do you have a clear conscience?

That question is also good for believers in Adonai Yeshua. Each of us has our own weaknesses, as king Solomon once said: >>For there is not a just man on the earth who does good, and does not sin.<< Ecclesiastes 7:20

Last week I listened to a very serious video about an American man who had been a devout Catholic Christian since childhood and still considered himself a Christian at the age of 47, even though he had already been living in a gay relationship for 3 years! He died in a car accident and woke up from the dead. He heard the words of the Judge before he woked:

"If you do not renounce your sexual life style that is contrary the planned of your Creator, you cannot be saved!" The man divorced his homosexual relationship, began to strive for a life of holiness according to the NT. It was difficult, as it is for most people in an addictive relationship. He overcame his bad desires and preaches now the gospel to others who have similar problems.

Since you will have to stand exposed and sinful before your Creator, you would be wise to spare your own soul by renouncing all your secret sins! This is called turning to Yehowah Elohim and seeking his mercy. Do it just now! Here is the link to the video I mentioned:

Even a person's every word is important!

We are created almost as divine beings and therefore we are also responsible for our words once we come before the judgment seat of our Creator. If we have not repented of our all evil thoughts, words, and deeds, and have not allowed the blood of Adonai Yeshua to wash our souls clean while we are here, we are filthy and we can be cast into Gehenna (Hell)!

It is therefore important to take care of our precious search time so that we use it wisely and correctly. We must reject evil thoughts that seek to take hold of us and keep our mouths shut when we know in advance that we would not say anything wise and loving about anyone!

  Adonai Yeshua warned: Matthew 12:36
>>
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.<<

Apostle James warned: James 3:6
>>
And the tongue is a fire, the world of the unrighteousness, so the tongue is set in our members, which is spotting our whole body, and is setting on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by the Gehenna.<<

Reflections on Shabat, October 22, 2024

In today's restless world, it is important to spend time in silence
and to wait for help from Yehowah Elohim!

From the era we do live
now, is prophisied of Adonai Yeshua: it shall only get worse. Let's avoid
the hysteria fueled by the mass media, because it serves of the prince of
this world Devil and therefore publishes the most terrible
news to make
more money and fame with help of it. That all bear wittness against
mass media that it is the real servant of Mammon! Beware of it!

Silence and tranquility are important

Quieting the soul and spirit in the company of Adonai Yeshua is a source of strength and courage in all situations of our life. We really need the strength and courage of the spirit day by day and especially as we get older, when in addition to normal difficulties we are faced with physical weakness and many kinds of standard of living diseases, especially in Western countries where life expectancy is very high.

Many believers in Adonai Yeshua have lived an unhealthy life in their youth, the later they have come to a living faith, the more unhealthily they have lived. The consequences of that unhealthy life are hidden in our body, and as we get older, our physical and natural resistance weakens. Many believers in Yeshua also have to work in conditions dangerous to their health.

I have been able to be away from working life since 2007. Still, the stresses of working life and unhealthy work environments left their mark on my body and they still plague me in the form of various illnesses. That has happened to most of us and will happen if we live a long life. I turned 75 at the beginning of the year and I really live one day at a time because of great grace!

Now I am grateful when the winter season has started, because in Finland it is a general recommendation to lower the interior temperature of the apartment between +20 and +22 *C. Previously it was in our house only +19 to +21 *C. Our building company decided to adjust the temperature between +20 and +22 *C. There are several elderly people living in this house, some of whom are cold addicts, like me, due to my poor blood circulation. Even one temperature degree makes a big difference! Hallelujah!

It is told in the Tanakh the secret of Adonai Yeshua's mighty power:

Zechariah 9:9 >>Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Look! Your king is coming to you: he is legitimate and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey - on a young donkey, the foal of a female donkey.<<

Isaiah 42:1-4 >>1 "Here is my servant whom I support, my chosen one in whom I take pleasure. I have placed my spirit on him; he will make just decrees for the nations. 2 He will not cry out or shout; he will not publicize himself in the streets.

3 A crushed reed he will not break, a dim wick he will not extinguish; he will faithfully make just decrees. 4 He will not grow dim or be crushed before establishing justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait in anticipation for his decrees."
<<

Let's give things enough time to happen

The spirit of this age (the Devil) tries to force people into too fast a rhythm. Working life has become more mentally heavier year by year, and the introduction of digital devices and AI is often overwhelming, especially for the elderly of us and those with a low level of education. Even the Shabat is neglected. The proverb applies here: "No dumb dog learns to bark".

The consequences of too fast a rhythm are visible year by year more and more clearly among young people in the form of restlessness and mental disorders. Its costs seem to increase so high that the high standard of living decreases in Western countries, also due to the too low birth rate. This trend is currently very topical in Finland and very difficult to prevent.

I was once in a workplace where the company's owners set merciless schedules and they affected the employees who were aware of their responsibilities in a very harmful way. Stress was the result and it only got worse as the deadline approached. But I had the grace to get off that all just in time! The company's owners' endless greed for money makes their subordinates sick.

Let's learn the right rhythm of life from nature. Most of the miracles there happen in silence and in all peace. They take their own time from one century to the next in the manner ordained by the Almighty. E.g. the seeds in the fields rise to the ground and after receiving sufficient rain, nourishment and sunshine, they eventually produce a ripe crop at the right time.
 Ecclesiastes 3:11

>>He has made everything suited to its time; also, he has given human beings an awareness of eternity, so that no man can find out the work that Elohim makes from the beginning to the end.<<

How can we avoid excessive stress?

Since we humans are physically and psychologically very different, it is very important what profession we study for and what kind of work we start doing. Let's not choose a profession only based on the national income level in nation we live. The Creator has given each of us individual tendencies and gifts for specific types of work. It is wise to pray for guidance to find them.

Adonai Yeshua gave me a great ability to perceive images in three dimensions. By praying, I was also able to study as a machine construction technician, where that natural ability has been very useful even after I graduated, when machine drawings were done with pen or marker on paper. I benefited even more from it decades later, when the design was done on a computer assisted!

I still had psychological problems because the development in that field was very rapid. I had to learn several different design software, such as AutoCad, Cadam, Catia and Pro Engineer. It wasn't enough that I learned how to use the basic software, I had to constantly study the software updates created for them. The big change was the transition from Unix to Windows.

Adonai Yeshua gave us the instruction on how to be healed from excessive stress. That teaching is worth more than gold to everyone who, for one reason or another, has had to work in jobs that over the years have begun to strain them even beyond their strength and abilities. That is why even today he invites us to come to him by praying and reading the Bible.
Matthew 11:28-30

>>28 Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.<<

Reflections on Shabat, October 15, 2024

While going to the grocery store today and coming out, then
young man walked up to me and asked if he may pray for me(?)
I told him that I am a true Christian and of course he may pray.
He placed both his hands on my left palm and prayed me health,
from many diseases(?) But I really didn't had a single one of them!
Because he didn't ask what diseases I have, I don't started to tell
him of them. I thanked him saying it's always good to pray and
that I have been believer for 72 years. He was about 30 years old.
Finally, I wished him warmly, "Be blessed in Adonai Yeshua!"

We never pray too much

Since I was in no hurry, I let the young man pray in peace. Finally, he asked if I felt heat(?) I answered that I didn't, but peace rests on me. (Peace rested on me even before that prayer.) Perhaps he had recently come to faith and that's why I didn't instruct him to ask people before the prayer what diseases or problems they have. I prayed wisdom for him later.

I don't remember that in decades I have experienced that a stranger comes up to me on the street and asks if he can pray for me. I myself have many times when witnessing on the streets, finally asked the person if he wants me to pray for him(?) I remembered one cold winter evening in Helsinki, when I witnessed to a young couple about my Lord.

Surprisingly, the man finally said, "Thank you for telling us about the Lord! Me and my wife felt a wonderful wave of heat coming from you, even though it's otherwise cold. That's why we believe what you told us." I tend to pray silently in a foreign language while testifying about my Lord. I have noticed it affecting supernatural events.

Perhaps the young man's prayer had a positive effect?

On the same day, I received the Coloplast catheter I ordered earlier as a sample, as I had been having problems with urination for several weeks. The night before, I had to pee every hour or so and my lower abdomen was burning. I had wondered what could be so irritating(?) I read in the catheter's user manual that coffee can cause urination problems*). I stopped drinking coffee.

*) According to the Health Library: Caffeine increases the secretion of stomach acid, and drinking coffee can worsen symptoms of stomach irritation caused by other causes. I started drinking coffee after about 40 years because, according to some medical studies, coffee prevents cancers. To drink coffee and eat chocolate is very bad combination:  both contain caffeine and can irritate the kidneys of sensitive people!

I had been drinking about 3 dl of normal coffee daily for 2...3 months before noon, and indeed during that time, those constant nightly visits to the toilet had clearly increased. That's why I drank camomile tea instead of coffee 13. Oct. and I was surprised how well I could sleep the very next night: 4 hours without going to the toilet!

The use of the catheters requires permission from the health authority to be reimbursed, so I'm still thinking about to start use of them and they are disposable for everyday use and are very expensive: about 100 €/pc and are needed 2-3 pc/day.

Worship Prayer changes circumstances

Often we begin to pray fervently only when we are already in great danger. The wisest thing is to pray in advance and prepare for each day carefully and trusting that we are not dependent on our own luck, nor at the mercy of others' whims. I have experienced many humanly impossible things being completely changed by the power of the prayer of faith, with the new tongues.

In my time at schools, in the congregations and in my working life, I experienced some times how I had gotten into a situation from which there was no visible way out. Then I prayed with the new tongues and started praising Adonai Yeshua singing and playing the guitar. So did king David when he was several times (like me) in danger and just a step away from being killed.

It is necessary to pray in solitude

When we are alone in our own chamber, we are still never alone! Because if we allow the Spirit of Grace and Prayer to live in our hearts and influence our innermost being, we will experience His presence. I have often thought when I started to pray and I was tired that I could not pray more than the absolutely necessary prayers. But when I began to pray with the new tongues, I soon felt that...

...my mind changes, fatigue recedes and I feel strength flowing into my whole being and even though I am physically ill, my spirit is healthy and I might pray for a couple of hours and carefully go through all the topics. After all, we live here in the body of flesh and blood only once, and that is why it is necessary to pray for all people. Especially for those whom Yeshua has given us as a subject.

Even when I'm walking outside, washing dishes at home or doing some other work, I sometimes unexpectedly get something or a person to my heart. Then I understand that it is precisely then that there is a need to pray for that thing or person. Although we rarely see into the unseen world, I have come to know that everything has a certain deadline. It is also with prayers.

When we pray in our own chamber, it is good to remember to whom we are pouring out our hearts and to honor him. Let our prayer be one of humble thank, praise and worship. If we believe that our prayers will be heard and that they will be answered in time, then our attitude must be one of gratitude and we must wait with the faith of the heart and, as it were, receive those things in advance!

Prayer together with other believers

There is earth-shaking power in common prayer! Then the power of prayer multiplies. Prayer is compared to warfare, because that is what it is spiritually. The apostle Paul exhorts us to put on the whole armor of Elohim. Here we read, for example, four good Bible passages, one from the Tanakh (OT) and three from the NT:

A) Leviticus 26:8 >>Five of you will pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you will pursue ten thousand, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword.<<

B) Luke 18:1 >>Then Yeshua told them a parable to show them they should always pray and not lose heart.<<

C) Acts 4:31 >>And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of Elohim with boldness.<<

D) Matthew 18:19 >>Again, I tell you the truth, if two of you on earth agree about whatever you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.<<

Prayer is a conversation with our Creator

Although we rarely hear him respond like a human being, it is certain that he watches us, our thoughts, prayers and actions. He is a Father who loves us as his own and wants us to be connected to him! We notice it in the verses: Psalm 33:13-15, 18-19

>>13 Yehowah looks from heaven; He beholds all the sons of men; 14 From the place of his habitation he looks forth upon all the inhabitants of the earth, 15 He that fashioned the hearts of them all, That considers all their works...

18 Behold, the eye of Yehowah is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his lovingkindness; 19 To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.<<

Reflections on Shabat, October 8, 2024

Let's study today what the Bible says about the two different ones of a spirit
as, named Darkness (Night) and Lightness (Day). We notice when reading
the same chapter forward, that the physical lights: sun, moon and stars were
created later: on the fourth day, that's why they do not mean the same thing.

Were Darkness and Light together in the beginning?

Not together by any means, but they were like different brothers. I get that idea from Genesis 1:4. Otherwise, they should not have been isolated from each other. It has been speculated that already at that time the restoration began, which continues throughout the Bible, until everything is restored.

In order for something to be restored, there must first be a situation where there has been a deviation from the previous state of being, which I understand to have been really peaceful and harmonious. Happens as before on the PC: For some reason, you have entered a harmful safe mode and you have to go back and use a certain 'restore point.'

Just as when using a restore point, the events of a certain period of time are lost from the computer, unless they are recorded separately, in the same way, in the restoration of creation, all the factors that have caused a harmful deviation from the original real peacefulness and harmony are lost and destroyed. It's about the Final Judgment.

Does the Bible tell about Darkness as a person?

It is stated in several verses, often in the NT. Let's read verses from the OT Job 38:19-21
>>"19 Which way leads to where Light is its home? and Darkness, where does it dwell? 20 If you knew, you could take each to it's place and set it on its homeward path. 21 You know, of course, because you were born then; by now you must be very old!"<<

Darkness is evil as a person

I get that idea from several verses in the Bible. We already notice it from the context in the attached image above, from the verse Genesis 1:4 because only Light is said to be good. We also read the verse John 12:35
>>Yeshua therefore said to them: "Yet a little while is the Light among you. Walk while ye have the Light, that Darkness may not overtake you. And he who walks in the Darkness does not know where he goes."<<

The very telling Messianic prophecies also mention Darkness and Light separately.

A) Isaiah 9:2 >>The people who walk in Darkness have seen a Great Light. The ones who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, Light has shone on them.<< Adonai Yeshua is the Great Light and we, his followers, are called to be little Light Beams and bring light to the spiritual darkness of the people.

B) Daniel 2:22 >>He reveals the deep and secret things: he knows what is in the Darkness, and the Light dwells with him.<<

Light is good as a person

We notice from the NT that often speaking of our Savior Adonai Yeshua, who is the Great Light, and referring to his opposite, the Devil or Darkness, the spirit prince of Darkness and his fellow criminals, especially the "Man of Lawlessness, the Son of Perdition".

A) John 1:5
>>And the Light shines on in the Darkness, but the Darkness has not mastered it.<<

B) John 3:17-19 >>
17 For Elohim did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 18 The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name*) of the only begotten Son of Elohim.19 Now this is the basis for judging: that the Light has come into the world and people loved the Darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.<< *) The Son's name is Yeshua HaMashiach.

C) 2 Thess. 2:6-12
 >>
6 And so you know what holds him back, so that he will be revealed in his own time. 7 For the hidden power of Lawlessness is already at work. However, the one who holds him back will do so until he is taken out of the way, 8 and then the Lawless One will be revealed, whom the Elohim will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the glory of his coming.

9 The arrival of the Lawless One will be by Satan's working with all kinds of miracles and signs and false wonders, 10 and with every kind of evil deception directed against those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved.

11 Consequently Elohim sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false. 12 And so all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned.<<

I recommend heart faith in Adonai Yeshua!

He was with our heavenly Father even before the creation of the world and the heavens. All that was created was created through him and in him, and in him all things hold together. Col. 1:14-17

>>
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible Elohim, the firstborn over all creation, 16 for all things in heaven and on earth were created by him - all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers - all things were created through him and for him. 17 He himself is before all things and all things are held together in him.<<

Reflections on Shabat, November 1, 2024

A wonderful era awaits us believers in Adonai Yeshua, if only
we race strong in faith to the end! We here in the west have learn
from childhood that we must work hard in studies to be able to get
exactly the best profession that corresponds to our abilities and a
workplace where we can give our full contribution to our society.
It requires a lot of effort from a young age and the whole society
is constantly changing in such a way that all people are required
continuous training also during working life. People are required
now more mental endurance, memory and patience than before.
Many drop outside of that demanding system for various reasons.
Reasons can be found in financial difficulties in the childhood their
home, illness and disability. Wars, natural disasters and even over-
indebtedness affects it, when western countries take on more debt.

Why did I choose a Siberian tiger for the picture?

It is the strongest of all felines and can live in arctic conditions. We can learn from it asceticism and survival in harsh natural conditions. In addition, it reminded me of a story from the book "112 stories from the mission fields". It was about a Chinese missionary who was required by Yeshua's love to take the message of salvation to a far away mountain village in the winter.

He was surprised by a severe blizzard and a headwind - which is not uncommon for publishers of the salvation message. As night fell over the landscape, he couldn't stand the snow anymore, but and threw himself into a pile of snow, and prayed: "Dear Yeshua, i have a cold. Pull the blanket over me so I don't freeze to death. Thank you!" Then he fell asleep safely.

He slept sweetly and surprisingly, he didn't get cold at all! When he opened his eyes at dawn, it was calm, the snow had stopped and he was in the arms of a great Siberian tiger! The tiger purred like cats purr and when it noticed that his 'patient' had woken up, it licked the snow off his face. The man got up wondering and continued his journey. The tiger also went on it's way.

The man said to Adonai Yeshua, "I only asked for a blanket, but I got a living blanket. Thank you very much!" When the man arrived in that mountain village, he had a great testimony to share and it ignited faith in our Creator in the listeners, because they thought it was a miracle of the Creator. Bible readers remember a similar miracle from the life of the prophet Daniel. He was thrown into the den of lions, but the angel of  Yehowah closed the jaws of the beasts.

Let's help the weak!

Because the weak, poor and disabled make up the majority of the world's population. They are from a much worse starting point in life than most of us who live in prosperous Western countries. Let's share our own food, drink and bind the wounds of the wounded and offer them a shelter to live in, because the number of refugees is increasing in the world due to wars and natural disasters!

Any of us can get seriously ill or have an accident in many different ways. We can also become a victim of robbery or fraud, even though we try to be very careful. Current digital bank cards can be copied and our accounts can be emptied even if we are careful. If we have helped others, our Creator will also help us, for he is watching over us.

How can we help the weak?

We have several opportunities to help them. It is estimated that there are about 2.6 billion Christians in the world today. The entire world's population is now already 8.2 billion, and Christians make up almost 32% of that. So almost every third person is a Christian. If every Christian helped three non-believers in need financially and primarily by proclaiming the message of salvation, the result would be huge!

We can offer the weak food, drink, clothing, a safe place to live and stay, and above all guide them to know Adonai Yeshua as their Savior. In all Western countries, Christians still have the freedom of assembly and the freedom to collect grants and support missionary work through sister organizations operating in many target countries, so that the aid goes to those in need.

Although I don't agree with the teachings of today's big Christian churches and organizations in everything doctrinally, I agree with them when it comes to social assistance. The most important thing is that people who are suffering and in need of help get food and medicine first. Only then are they receptive to the message of salvation, even though it is the most important thing for them.
Let's remember that Adonai Yeshua's command to evangelize is still valid! Mark 16.15-19

>>15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Adonai had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of Elohim.
