Reflections on Shabat, November 1, 2024

A wonderful era awaits us believers in Adonai Yeshua, if only
we race strong in faith to the end! We here in the west have learn
from childhood that we must work hard in studies to be able to get
exactly the best profession that corresponds to our abilities and a
workplace where we can give our full contribution to our society.
It requires a lot of effort from a young age and the whole society
is constantly changing in such a way that all people are required
continuous training also during working life. People are required
now more mental endurance, memory and patience than before.
Many drop outside of that demanding system for various reasons.
Reasons can be found in financial difficulties in the childhood their
home, illness and disability. Wars, natural disasters and even over-
indebtedness affects it, when western countries take on more debt.

Why did I choose a Siberian tiger for the picture?

It is the strongest of all felines and can live in arctic conditions. We can learn from it asceticism and survival in harsh natural conditions. In addition, it reminded me of a story from the book "112 stories from the mission fields". It was about a Chinese missionary who was required by Yeshua's love to take the message of salvation to a far away mountain village in the winter.

He was surprised by a severe blizzard and a headwind - which is not uncommon for publishers of the salvation message. As night fell over the landscape, he couldn't stand the snow anymore, but and threw himself into a pile of snow, and prayed: "Dear Yeshua, i have a cold. Pull the blanket over me so I don't freeze to death. Thank you!" Then he fell asleep safely.

He slept sweetly and surprisingly, he didn't get cold at all! When he opened his eyes at dawn, it was calm, the snow had stopped and he was in the arms of a great Siberian tiger! The tiger purred like cats purr and when it noticed that his 'patient' had woken up, it licked the snow off his face. The man got up wondering and continued his journey. The tiger also went on it's way.

The man said to Adonai Yeshua, "I only asked for a blanket, but I got a living blanket. Thank you very much!" When the man arrived in that mountain village, he had a great testimony to share and it ignited faith in our Creator in the listeners, because they thought it was a miracle of the Creator. Bible readers remember a similar miracle from the life of the prophet Daniel. He was thrown into the den of lions, but the angel of  Yehowah closed the jaws of the beasts.

Let's help the weak!

Because the weak, poor and disabled make up the majority of the world's population. They are from a much worse starting point in life than most of us who live in prosperous Western countries. Let's share our own food, drink and bind the wounds of the wounded and offer them a shelter to live in, because the number of refugees is increasing in the world due to wars and natural disasters!

Any of us can get seriously ill or have an accident in many different ways. We can also become a victim of robbery or fraud, even though we try to be very careful. Current digital bank cards can be copied and our accounts can be emptied even if we are careful. If we have helped others, our Creator will also help us, for he is watching over us.

How can we help the weak?

We have several opportunities to help them. It is estimated that there are about 2.6 billion Christians in the world today. The entire world's population is now already 8.2 billion, and Christians make up almost 32% of that. So almost every third person is a Christian. If every Christian helped three non-believers in need financially and primarily by proclaiming the message of salvation, the result would be huge!

We can offer the weak food, drink, clothing, a safe place to live and stay, and above all guide them to know Adonai Yeshua as their Savior. In all Western countries, Christians still have the freedom of assembly and the freedom to collect grants and support missionary work through sister organizations operating in many target countries, so that the aid goes to those in need.

Although I don't agree with the teachings of today's big Christian churches and organizations in everything doctrinally, I agree with them when it comes to social assistance. The most important thing is that people who are suffering and in need of help get food and medicine first. Only then are they receptive to the message of salvation, even though it is the most important thing for them.
Let's remember that Adonai Yeshua's command to evangelize is still valid! Mark 16.15-19

>>15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Adonai had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of Elohim.
