Reflections on Shabat, December 20, 2024

Most people are unaware that we live in a world where all things and
circumstances are completely under the control of our Creator, even
when humans corrupt nature. The earth, sun, moon, and all stars are
always in the hands of our Creator, and he can do to them whatever
and whenever he wants. When reading the Bible, we can easily get the
impression that it is contradictory or very complicate to understand.
It's prophecies are difficult to understand, but it is not contradictory.
That is why it was necessary to take now a closer look at those verses.

An eternal plan

It is good for people and human communities to have different and realistic goals in their lives. Such goals include studying, finding a suitable job, starting a family and working for the development of the community. People who are a little more open-minded also have the goal of achieving world peace and striving to act globally for the good of all people.

All of that is a good goal, but it only aims at the earthly time of human life. In addition, all of us who believe in Adonai Yeshua as Savior have the desire to carry out the salvation plan entrusted to us by our Creator, which aims far into eternity. Therefore, in addition to helping our neighbors socially, we primarily strive to lead them to know our Savior.

We learn from the Bible that our Creator had the plan for the eternal salvation of those chosen for salvation even before the creation of the world and all of humanity. He therefore has a plan that leads far into eternity, i.e. the eternal plan for the good of us, who believe in him. He also implements it and brings it to completion at the end of the history of nations. Let's read:

1 Peter 1:18-21
>>18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of HaMashiach, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in Elohim, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in Elohim.
<<

Romans 9:28
>>For Yehowah will fulfill his word on the earth with certainty and without delay." (Isaiah 10:22-23)<<

How should we understand Genesis 8:22?

It refers to a long period of time (about 4,300 years) from that announcement (about 2,298–2,297 BCE*) until the time when the last two prophecies in the accompanying picture begin to be fulfilled. *) https://www.quora.com/What-year-was-the-ark-built

When will Genesis 8:22 and Isaiah 30:26 be fulfilled?

We are currently living in a time when the seasons follow the rule of Genesis 8:22. However, we notice that the nature of the earth is in a state of death struggle, due to the number of sins of mankind. The soil is full of bloodguilt, which the earth will eventually vomit out and the nations will be visited with exceedingly great punishments.

Signs of this earth’s symptoms are large fluctuations in average temperature, violent storms, droughts, heavy rains, forest fires and earthquakes. These fluctuations have occurred before, but in recent years their frequency has increased significantly. Our Creator also speaks to us through natural phenomena. Can we interpret it correctly?

We are inexorably approaching the time mentioned in Isaiah 30:26. The prophecy does not refer only to a physical event. It also has a clear spiritual meaning, which I will refer to later. Physically, it really means a drastic increase in the average temperature of the Earth beyond all predictions. Then the chosen ones of Israel will experience the following: Isaiah 4:2-6

>>2 In that day the Branch of Yehowah (Yeshua) will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth for pride and for glory for the survivors of Israel. 3 And it shall be, he remaining in Zion, and he who is left in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, every one who is written among the living in Jerusalem; 4 when the Yehowah shall have washed away the filth**) of the daughters of Zion, and the blood of Jerusalem shall have been rinsed away from its midst by a Spirit of Judgment, and by a Spirit of Burning.

5 Then Yehowah will create a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night, over all the site of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies; for on all the glory will be a canopy. 6 And there shall be a booth for a shade from the heat, and for a refuge, and for a hiding place from storm and rain.<<

**) This is likely to refer primarily to the free abortion that Israeli women are legally allowed to have during their 24-32 months of compulsory military service. Any Israeli woman can apply for an abortion through the health care system. Abortion requires approval from the abortion board. ***) I'll come back to this matter later, just before links for the songs.

The spiritual meaning of Isaiah 30:26

In the NT, the light of the moon is compared to the glory of the sun in the sense that the light of the moon represents the light of understanding given by the Law of Moses and the light of the sun represents the spiritual glory of the New Covenant instituted by our Savior Adonai Yeshua, which is abundant compared to the light of the moon! The Apostle Paul wrote about this: 2 Cor. 3:7-11

>>7 But if the ministry of death having been engraved in letters in stone was with glory, so as the sons of Israel could not gaze into "the face of Moses" because of the glory of his face, which was to cease, (Ex. 34:34) 8 how much rather the ministry of the Spirit will be in glory!

9 For if the ministry of condemnation was glory, much rather the ministry of righteousness abounds in glory. 10 For even that which has been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, because of the surpassing glory. 11 For if the thing done away was through glory, much rather the thing remaining is in glory.<<

The reader probably realized that when the chosen ones of Israel and the other nations are filled with the Holy Spirit, they will then understand well that the Law of Moses means condemning and hating all kinds of sin and will experience tremendous liberation when they move from the Law to Grace by believing in the work of redemption accomplished by Adonai Yeshua on the cross of Golgotha (Calvory)!

When will Luke 21:25-27 begin to be fulfilled?

I believe that very soon after the Rapture of the 'wise virgins', also called the Rapture, has taken place, for I do not believe that all the chosen saints will be in a tribulation such as has never been before and never will be again. We may be living very close to the time prophesied by our Savior in the verses: Mark 13:24-32

>>
24 But in those days, after that affliction, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light; 25 and the stars of the heaven will be falling, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with much power and glory. (Dan. 7:13) 27 And then He will send His angels and will gather His elect from the four winds, from the end of earth to the end of heaven.

28 And from the fig tree learn the parable: When its branch becomes tender and puts out leaves, you know the summer is near. 29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near, at the doors. 30 Truly I say to you, Not at all will this generation pass away until all these things occur. 31 The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will not at all pass away. 32 But concerning that day and the hour, no one knows, not the angels, those in Heaven, nor the Son, except the Father.<<

***) I had a clear dream the night before Thursday

I was alone at home and suddenly a very polite and smartly dressed man came to me. He bowed low and said, "I have come to you at the request of my wife. She considers you an empathetic preacher and wants to talk to you alone. Is this okay with you?" I said: "Yes, it is". I sensed that this was probably going to be a very sensitive conversation.

I sensed that it was about something in the woman's life that was weighing on her mind and that she wanted to confess. As for sins that require confession, they are often necessary for assurance of salvation. Since the subject is important, I will make it a study for next Shabat. I will tell you right now that Yehowah Elohim loves even the greatest sinners and wants to save them all!

2 Peter 3:7-9
 >>
7 But the heavens and the earth now, having been stored up by the same word, are being kept for fire to a day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. 8 But let not this one thing be hidden from you, beloved, that one day with the Yehowah is "as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (Psa. 90:4) 9 The Yehowah of the promise is not slow, as some deem slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not having purposed any of us to perish, but all of us to come to repentance.<<

Songs suitable for the topic

Please, note: Our Savior's original name in Hebrew is Yeshua HaMashiach HaNotzri
