Reflections on Shabat, February 28, 2025

There are some prototypes of Adonai Yeshua in the Bible. I think that the extraordinary stages of Joseph's life is the best of those. The Hebrew name Yosef means: 'Elohim adds'. He was a better example than Solomon, although YHWH Elohim perhaps intended to make King Solomon (in Hebrew Shelomo means Peace), even his name, the best example of Yeshua. However, Solomon fell in his old age to worship the idols of the pagan nations and thus corrupted that example, as he was perhaps originally created. Obedience is more than wisdom!

To whom was Joseph first sold?

The following verses indicate to whom Joseph was sold, as some explain that Joseph's brothers sold him first to the Midianites. Was this the case? I don't think so, at least according to the following verses: Genesis 37:27-28 (Verse 27 begins with Joseph's brothers speaking to each other)

>>27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content. 28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they *) drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.<<
*) Joseph's brothers.

Similarities between Joseph and Yeshua

Joseph was innocently envied and hated by his brothers, but the favorite of his father Jacob.
- Yeshua was innocently envied and hated by the priesthood of Israel, but chosen by YHWH.

Joseph was given prophecies that came true. He could also interpret correctly the dreams.
- YHWH revealed to Yeshua several events during his time on earth and future events.

Joseph was nearly killed because of his prophetic dreams, but was sold to the Ishmaelites.
- Yeshua was hated because he taught mercy and truth and was eventually murdered!

Joseph was forced into Egypt because of YHWH's pre-arranged plan of salvation.
- Yeshua had to flee to Egypt with his stepfather Joseph and his mother Mary.

Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery for 20 shekels of silver because of his dreams.
- Yeshua was betrayed by one of his closest disciples, Judas, for 30 shekels of silver.

Joseph did not fall into adultery during his trial and had to suffer for it innocently.
- Yeshua lived a completely sinless life and was eventually nailed to the cross, innocent.

Joseph did not take revenge on his brothers when they had to resort to his help in a famine.
- Yeshua prayed to the Father for mercy on those who nailed him to the cross and to forgive them.

Joseph was exalted next to Pharaoh. (Pharaoh was in this situation a prototype of YHWH)
- Yeshua was exalted after the resurrection. He received all authority in heaven and on earth.

Joseph tested his brothers to make them confess their sins against him.
- Yeshua allows the Devil to test us too to guide us to be worthy to inherit eternal life.

Joseph forgave his brothers for their murderous intent and for selling him into slavery.
- Yeshua forgave Israelites for his suffering, for Israel was and still is the chosen people.

Joseph fed his brothers and their families in Egypt for 5 years, during the famine.
- Yeshua feeds us with His Word and in the Eucharist throughout our lives on earth.

Through Joseph's work, his brothers' families were given the opportunity to live on earth.
- As a result of Yeshua's blood offer, we receive through faith the gift of eternal life in heaven.

Joseph was finally able to meet his father Jacob in Egypt after his difficult life.
- Yeshua was able to meet his heavenly Father after his most painful redemptive work.

Joseph was in Egypt honored in a higher position than his Father Jacob for a time.
- Yeshua received all authority in heaven and on earth, but YHWH will soon take it again.

The reader may find further similarities between Joseph and Yeshua as he reflects. I encourage everyone to consider the similarities between himself and Adonai Yeshua for the following reason:

We are also obliged to do this

Let us take seriously the following teaching of the apostle John!
1 John 2:1-6

>>
1 My little children, I write these things to you so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Yeshua Mashiach the Righteous. 2 And He is the propitiation relating to our sins, and not relating to ours only, but also relating to all the world. 3 And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commands.

4 The one saying, I have known Him, and not keeping His commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that one. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly in this one the love of Elohim has been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 The one who says that he abides in Him must live the same way He himself lived.<<

Let us examine our hearts by asking ourselves the following questions:
- Have we already resisted to the point of blood in our fight against sin?
- Do we truly love our neighbors not only with our pious words but also in our actions?
- Is the pain, lack of food and distress of our neighbors also our pain and distress?
- Has Adonai Yeshua been able to save our possessions and bank accounts for His use?

If our hearts answer "Yes" to all four questions, then things are fine. If our hearts answer "No" to some of the questions, then we have reason for true repentance. The Holy Spirit wants to help us to grow into the likeness of Adonai Yeshua and thereby make us worthy of receiving eternal life and a heavenly inheritance!

Let us strive to be worthy of eternal life!

Although the sole basis of our salvation is faith in Mashiach Yeshua, genuine faith in him produces in us righteous works, the doing of which is referred to in many passages of the NT:

2 Thess. 1:3-10
>>3 Brothers (and sisters), we are bound to give thanks to Elohim always concerning you, even as it is right, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each one of you multiplies toward one another, 4 so as for us to boast ourselves in you in the congregations of Elohim for your patience and faith in all your persecutions, and the afflictions which you endure,

5 a clear token of the just judgment of Elohim, for you to be counted worthy of the kingdom of Elohim, for which you indeed suffer; 6 since it is a just thing with Elohim to pay back tribulation to the ones troubling you, 7 and to give you, those being troubled, relief with us at the revelation of the Adonai Yeshua from Heaven with angels of His power.

8 (Then He appears) in flaming fire giving full vengeance to those not knowing Elohim, and to those not obeying the gospel of our Adonai Yeshua Mashiach, (Isa. 66:15; Jer. 10:25) 9 who will pay the penalty: everlasting destruction from the face of the Adonai, "and from the glory of His strength," (Isa. 2:20) 10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all those who believe in that Day, because our testimony to you was believed.<<

Luke 20:34-35
>>34 ...Yeshua said to them, The sons of this world marry and (women) are given in marriage. 35 But those counted worthy to obtain that (new) world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage (there)<<

We see from the verses above that our faith, together with our works of love, contributes to our salvation! We are not called to be 'free travelers', but just as we must purchase tickets for all kinds of transportation, so must we pay the price for our faith with our works, too!

Reflections on Shabat, February 21, 2025

Although breaking the original second commandment is forbidden in the Ten Commandments (You shall not make for yourself any image of anything that is in heaven or on earth!), it is still permitted only for educational purposes, because today a doctrine foreign to the Bible called trinitarianism or the doctrine of the Trinity has been very widely spread. The accompanying picture simply presents the scene that we are told about in the Book of Revelation: Rev. 1:4-6 and Rev. 4:5 and Rev. 5:6. The verses reveal at least three different persons (more precisely, the Holy Spirit is presented as seven Spirits of Elohim), and they cannot be made into one single person except by doing violence to the Word. That is a sin! Let us read those verses and first one more:

Bible verses about the external nature of the Holy Spirit

Matt. 3:16-17 This happened shortly after Adonai Yeshua was baptized in the Jordan.
>>
16 And Yeshua, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of Elohim descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.<< This is complemented by the verse: Matt.12:18
>>Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.<<

Rev. 1:4-6
These verses mention separately: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
>>4 John to the seven congregations which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne; 5 And from Yeshua Mashiach, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And has made us kings and priests unto Elohim and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.<<

Rev. 4:5 As the previous quote says, there are seven torches of fire before the throne.
>>And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim.<<

Rev. 5:6
Those seven Spirits of Elohim were and still are in HaMashiach Yeshua.
>>And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim sent forth into all the earth.<<

The Son’s testimony of the Father’s personality

The doctrine of the Trinity claims that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one and the same person and that together they form one single Elohim. The Son, while walking on earth, taught us otherwise in the High Priestly Prayer, in which he prayed to the Father. I quote the verses from it: John 17:3-6

>>
3 And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true Elohim, and Yeshua Mashiach, whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I finished the work that You gave Me to do. 5 And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the existence of the world. 6 I revealed Your name to the men whom You gave to Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me; and they have kept Your Word.<<

When was the Trinity doctrine coined?

A brief overview of the history of that doctrine. Source: Finnish Wikipedia, from which I will translate into English: https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolminaisuusoppi

>>
The word Trinity (Greek: trias) first appears in the writings of Theophilus of Antioch in 180 in the form “The Trinity of God: God, his Word, and his Wisdom.” In Latin, Trinity (trinitas) first appears in the writings of Tertullian (c. –220). In the 3rd century, the term becomes established in Christian usage.<<
Later, the third part of the Trinity, 'wisdom', was replaced by the teaching of the Holy Spirit, and this is evident in the so-called Athanasian Creed. The Athanasian Creed dates from the early Middle Ages - the 4th century - and is erroneously named after Bishop Athanasius (295–373), a teacher of the ancient Church and bishop of Alexandria.*)
*) Read: https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athanasioksen_uskontunnustus

>>
The Great Finnish Encyclopedia says: “The actual doctrine of the Trinity is not in the Bible. The development of the dogma of the Trinity was mainly completed in the 4th century. In the West, it was molded into the formulas of the Athanasian Creed.”<<
The reasoning is incorrect in using the word ‘actual’, because the Bible does not teach ‘any’ doctrine of the Trinity, which is a heresy!

>>
The Council of Nicaea, convened by Emperor Constantine the Great in 325, and attended by over 220 bishops, reached a consensus that the Father and the Son are of one essence. The Son is not inferior to the Father or a divine messenger separate from him, but together and separately they represent the simultaneous transcendence and immanence of one God.<<
That reasoning is contrary to Adonai Yeshua's teaching about the Father: John 17:3-6 above.

>>
Opponents of the Trinity doctrine believe that the Bible does not support the idea of a Trinity (John 14:28; Mark 13:32; 1 Cor. 8:6; 1 Cor. 15:27–28). According to them, the union of the Father and the Son is comparable to the spiritual union of the Church, because the expression is the same in the original language, for example: “But he who plants and he who waters are one; . . .” (1 Cor. 3:6–8). The so-called exaltation Christological view that Jesus only became Lord and Christ in the resurrection also raises questions about the doctrine of the Trinity according to the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed (Read Rom. 1:3-4).<<
Those verses clearly show that the words of the original language have been arbitrarily and purposefully quoted. By that the doctrine of the Trinity, invented by men, would have a more believable content.

This is how I understand the mission command

In current Bible translations, there is only one mention in connection with the mission command about the name in which those who have come to faith should be baptized, although according to Mark 16:15-16, baptism is mentioned in addition to faith as another condition for the salvation of the soul*). The verse in question is Matt. 28:19, which refers to a single name, but its accuracy is justifiably questionable in light of the rest of the NT teaching, because it clearly contradicts numerous NT verses**). Read, for example, Acts 2:38, 4:10-12, 8:16, 10:48 and 19:5.
*) I will discuss Mark 16:15-16 later in section B).
**) I will discuss Acts 2:38 and 4:10-12 and 10:48 later, at the end of section B).

- - -

A) Also Messianic Jew, David H. Stern, who translated the Complete Jewish Bible, wonders about the concept of Trinitarianism and mentions the following in his Jewish New Testament Commentary:

- The word Trinity does not appear in the Bible at all and is a foreign concept to Jewish thought. That is why some Jews use the word Triunity instead, because the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work together! (My note: The word Triunity does not appear in the Bible either)

- In Matt. 28:19 there is a command to baptize "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit". David therefore asks pertinent questions: What is that (singular) name? Is it the name used in baptism in Acts 2:38 and 8:16?
(My note: In Acts 2:38 the apostle Peter baptized in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach and in Acts 8:16 it is mentioned that those who came to faith were baptized in the name of Adonai Yeshua.)

- Due to this name problem, David has translated Matt. 28:19 as follows:
>>
Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh,<<

- Finally, David states the following:
There is also a textual problem. Although almost all ancient manuscripts contain the Trinitarian formula, Eusebius, a Church historian who may have been non-Trinitarian, in his writings before the Council of Nicaea in 325, quotes the verse without it. Most scholars believe that the formula is original, but Hans Kosmala ("The Conclusion of Matthew", Annual of Swedish Theological Institute, 4 (1965), pp. 132-147) and David Flusser ("The Conclusion of Matthew in a New Jewish Christian Sourge", ibid., 5 (1966-11-7), pp. 110-119) argue otherwise.

---

B)
I have read through several different Bible translations in different languages. This is the 49th time and I am now reading George Lamsa's Peshitta translation (from Aramaic to English) and I have read it almost completely. In my opinion, there is also a name problem in the Gospel of Mark. In verses Mark 16:15-16, Adonai Yeshua gave the command to preach. What is strange about it is that it does not say in what name one should baptize, even though verse 16 shows that faith and baptism together lead to salvation, and not faith alone, because faith without works is dead (James 2:26)!

*) (The passage is referenced above) The missionary command: Mark. 16:15-16 reads as follows:
>>15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned.<<

We notice in verse 16 that it does not say in what name those who have come to faith should be baptized, although baptism is mentioned in addition to faith as a prerequisite for the salvation of the soul, because according to the letter of James (James 2:26) "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead". Therefore verse Mark. 16:16 refers also to the act of faith, which is baptism by immersion.

We must read the whole context of the Gospel of Mark. Then we will see what name our Savior commanded his disciples to use. It was not the artificial name "Father and Son and Holy Spirit", but the name of Yeshua HaMashiach! Let us read verses Mark 16:15-20

>>
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Adonai had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of Elohim. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Adonai working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.<<

I think that those verses refer to only one proper noun and since verses 17-20 follow the command to send, it is only the name Yeshua HaMashiach that is being referred to.

**)
 (
The passage is referenced above)Regarding verses Acts 2:38 and 4:10-12 and 10:48, it is important to note that the apostle Peter was the most respected of Yeshua’s disciples and was present at the time of the great commission! He performed the New Covenant baptism of those who confessed their sins and came to faith by immersion and is said that he did baptize only in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach in verses Acts 2:38 and 10:48. Furthermore, he taught in verses Acts 4:10-12 that there is only one name under heaven given among men by which they can be saved, and that name is Yeshua HaMashiach HaNotzri.
Unfortunately, in the most current NT Scriptures, the original proper name of our Savior has been replaced by with a derivative of its Greek translation, contrary to the general rule that proper names should not be translated into something other than the original proper name. And when translating proper nouns, the original proper noun should always be used as the source text for the translation.

A collection of some misinterpreted verses

As for the verse Matt. 28:19, which is most often referred to in the Trinity, it is obviously a forgery, because the Acts of the Apostles never mentions that those who came to faith were baptized with the formula "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit". It is a forgery because it occurs only once, and it cannot be a proper name. Instead, all the apostles who received the mission command from the Savior baptized those who came to faith and confessed their sins by immersion either in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach or in the name of Adonai Yeshua. There are 4 passages in total! The reader must decide for himself whether he believes the so-called 'church-fathers' more than the original apostles.

Regarding John 10:30, it can also be translated as the old Aramean Peshitta (George Lamsa) translates it: "I and the Father are of one accord." This translation is also supported by how Adonai Yeshua accomplished everything - not his own will, but the will of his Father: John 6:38. We are also called to that, namely to be obedient to Adonai Yeshua: John 17:18-21

>>
18 As You have sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world, 19 and I sanctify Myself for them, that they also may be sanctified in truth. 20 And I do not pray concerning these only, but also concerning those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.<<
We are therefore called in Adonai Yeshua to a similar relationship with one another as he has with his Father. It is clear without words that no one's personality will then disappear!

Regarding the verses John 1:1-2, here too we can see two separate eternal persons, namely the Father and the Son. In both verses it is mentioned that the Word was with Elohim. The verses therefore tell about the Father Elohim and the Son of the Father, or the Word, who was with the Father Elohim in the beginning. Already in the OT it is mentioned that those (prophets) to whom the Word of Elohim came were elohims and Adonai himself referred to that in the verses: John 10:34-35. There he compared himself to them, although he is greater than them.

Finally, another incorrectly explained point: John 14:7-9
>>
7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you do know Him, and have seen Him. 8 And Philip said to Him, Adonai, show us the Father, and it is enough for us. 9 Yeshua said to him, Am I so long a time with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? The one seeing Me has seen the Father! And how do you say, Show us the Father?<<
If we think carefully, Adonai Yeshua does not claim to be the Father himself, but that whoever has seen him has seen the Father. This is explained by the fact that the Spirit of the Father dwelled in him, which he received internally and upon his spirit during the baptism by immersion in the Jordan. As can be seen from the attached picture, Yeshua is "the radiance of the glory of Elohim and the exact representation of his being." Hebr. 1:3a.

The following attached image shows who Adonai Yeshua said he was (and is even today):

https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=122177626382269452&set=g.267774721937611

The summary was made by Mercado Orlando in the fb group called THE NARROW ROAD some time ago. As for the phrase "Son of Man", Adonai Yeshua was referring to the Messianic prophecy about him that Daniel wrote. According to which he will arrive in the clouds to his Father: Dan. 7:13-14

>>13 I was looking in the night visions. And behold! One like the Son of Man came with the clouds of the heavens. And He came to the Ancient of Days. And they brought Him near before Him. 14 And dominion was given to Him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.<<

Serious Consequences of Embracing the Trinity Doctrine

Today, almost all Christian activities are performed in Churches "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" because of an apparently erroneously worded verse. It is: Matt. 28:19. These activities include baptism, the opening and closing of meetings, teachings, the Lord's blessing, Communion, even burials. All of this is because the so-called "teachings of the Church fathers" have replaced the following clear teaching of the apostle Paul: Col. 3:17

>>And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Adonai Yeshua, giving thanks to Elohim the Father through him.<< This is not followed because heresy is being preached in the Churches! Therefore, it is not surprising that Adonai Yeshua is no longer present, because the Holy Spirit only glorifies Adonai Yeshua! The Holy Spirit never accepts or glorifies doctrines that are made up by men and are against the Bible!

Reflections on Shabat, February 14, 2025

The life of our Savior Mashiach Yeshua on earth was the complete opposite of what he was used to before his human birth, when he lived in heaven. In that sense too, he made a huge sacrifice by giving up his high position, where he had the form of the Son of Elohim. He did not consider it a prize to be like Elohim, who was worshipped in heaven, but he humbled himself and took the form of a slave. He was found to be in the likeness of a man while on earth. The prophet Isaiah did write that Mashiach was a slave and an outcast, despised by his people and rulers. Our Savior brought us grace and truth. Both must be proclaimed. The proclamation of grace alone is heresy!

What made Yeshua submit to the part of a slave?

It was because of his boundless love for all of us whom he created. He simply did not want to think that we would be separated from him forever and perish in hell. Not only did Yeshua love us, but also his Father, the Holy Majesty, by whose will we were created to be like him and Yeshua for eternity.

Our Heavenly Father created all the invisible and visible heavens and the earth with all their inhabitants through his Son and wants to have us as children with him for eternity. We who believe in Yeshua and have received the gift of the Holy Spirit by grace through faith know this and that is why we also work hard to fulfill the mission given by our Savior to take the Good News to everyone.

Today, there are numerous ways to spread the Good News: books, periodicals, TV, radio, and the Internet. Adonai Yeshua has arranged this too, so that those who cannot afford to publish the message of salvation can take it to their relatives, acquaintances, fellow students and colleagues. Everyone can at least pray, and prayer is the prerequisite for all success!

Adonai Yeshua gave us an example of sacrifice

The Apostle Paul in his letters refers to our Savior as a model of a witness according to the will of Elohim, who was not ashamed before men, nor did he hide the message of salvation from anyone, but gave a noble testimony before his captors when he was being judged. He did this even though he knew that they did not believe in him, and did not want to accept the Good News he brought from heaven!

All our sacrifices, regarding our property, our free time and our diligence to take the message of salvation to the ends of the world, are only a small trifle compared to the sacrifice of our Savior. It is still necessary for the salvation of our neighbors and to lead them on the path to eternal life. Each of us who has already come to faith is grateful that we heard the Good News!

It is very sad to note how self-centered many believers in Adonai Yeshua are and, on top of all that, so sensitive, seeking human honor and their own glory. If you ask them to sacrifice their money and time to spread the message of salvation, many will see it as slavery. Oh, how strange! We must be slaves of Adonai Yeshua of our own free will!

Other Examples of Sacrifice in the Bible

Although our Savior is the best example, we find many other examples of faithful obedience to the voice of Yehowah Elohim in the Bible. The writer of Hebrews, the apostle Paul, lists several noble saints from the OT era in chapter 11. I will pick out a few verses from there for encouragement and we notice that they too were only imperfect people! Hebr. 11:13-16, 35-40

Hebr. 11:13-16 (References to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, our fathers of faith)

>>
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore Elohim is not ashamed to be called their Elohim: for he has prepared for them a city.
<<

Hebr. 11:35-40 (According to verse 40, the OT saints need us to be perfected)

>>
35  Women received their dead by resurrection; but others were beaten to death, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. 36 And others received trial of mockings and of floggings; yea, more, of bonds and of prison.

37 They were stoned; they were tried; they were sawn in two; they died by murder of sword; they went about in sheepskins and in goatskins, being in need, being afflicted, being ill-treated; 38 of whom the world was not worthy, wandering in deserts, and mountains, and caves, and the holes of the earth.

39
And having obtained witness through the faith, these all did not obtain the promise, 40 Elohim having foreseen something better concerning us, that they should not be perfected apart from us.
<<

Some encouraging verses from the Prophet Isaiah

May they inspire us and encourage us to love our neighbor and to do good deeds that are pleasing to Elohim and beneficial to people. I know from experience that the proclamation of the Good News and the acts of love that help our neighbors in distress bring great joy to the heart. This is done by the Holy Spirit who dwells in my heart, who constantly urges me to do the same!

May the ransom sacrifice of Adonai Yeshua on the cross of Golgotha be an example for us of self-sacrifice in order to bring the Good News to all creatures. He not only gave up his very high position when he became a man among us, but he wandered through Galilee, Samaria and Judea without a permanent home and often spent the night in the open air praying fervently for us.

Let us be as the disciples of Adonai Yeshua who gave up seeking riches on earth and submitted to taking the message of salvation by the prompting and leading of the Holy Spirit to the ends of the earth, even though they knew in advance that many kinds of difficulties, hunger and deprivation would come upon them. They had been told that some of them would die as martyrs.

Isa. 49:5-9 This is what Adonai Yeshua did for us! Let us follow him in doctrine and deeds!

>>5 And now, says Yehowah who formed Me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him: Though Israel is not gathered, yet I am honored in the eye of Yehowah, and My Elohim is My strength. 6 And He said, It is too little that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light of the nations, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.

7 So says Yehowah, the Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One, to the despised of soul, to the hated of the nation, the servant of rulers, Kings shall see and rise up; and chiefs shall worship; because of Yehowah who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel; and He chose You.

8 So says Yehowah: In a favorable time I have answered You, and in a day of salvation I have helped You. And I will preserve You, and give You for a covenant of the people; to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolated inheritances; 9 to say to the prisoners, Go out! To those who are in darkness, Show yourselves! They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

Reflections on Shabat, February 7, 2025

We read in the Book of Revelation that after the most devastating war in human history, the dead in Mashiach will come to life and reign with Him for 1,000 years. The rest of the dead will not yet rise from the dead. At the end of those 1,000 years, Satan will be released from the abyss, his prison, and he will incite the Gentile nations of the earth to war against Jerusalem. As a result, war will begin against Jerusalem. The Gentile air forces will rise across the expanse of the earth and surround the camp of the saints, Holy Jerusalem. Then the fire of YHWH will come down from heaven and consume them.

Satan's final crime and punishment

It will be Satan's last attempt to destroy the chosen of the Most High and he will fail completely! He will be captured and thrown into the lake of fire, burning with fire, into eternal torment:
Rev. 20:7-10

>>7 When the thousand years have been completed, Satan shall be loosed from his prison, 8 and shall go out to deceive the nations which [are] in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war, whose number [is] as the sand of the sea.

9 They went up on the breadth of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city: and fire came down from Elohim out of the heaven and devoured them. 10 And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where [are] both the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for the ages of ages.<<

The Last Judgment

After this, a court session will be set in heaven and all people from Adam onwards will be gathered before the Supreme Throne and each person will be judged according to what is written in the books, according to their deeds: Rev. 20:11-15

>>11 And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled, and place was not found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is [that] of Life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which [were] in it, and death and hades gave up the dead which [were] in them; and they were judged each according to their works: 14 and death and hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, [even] the lake of fire. 15 And if any one was not found written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the lake of fire.<<

Since Satan, the Beast, and the False Prophet are then already in that lake of fire, I urge everyone still alive on earth to do their part so that they do not ultimately have to live their eternity with them: "Repent truly and believe the Good News of Yeshua Mashiach!"

New Heaven and New Earth and the Holy City

  We did read in
Rev. 20:11 that the former heaven and earth will pass away. Therefore, our Creator will create a New Heaven and a New Earth for His children. His Holy City, the New Jerusalem, will descend from heaven to earth and Yehowah Himself will dwell among His people. What a wonderful time that will then come on earth! I recommend reading Revelation 21-22.

Welcome to heaven!

Let us strive to be saved!

A Jew asked our Savior, “Are there few who are saved?” Let us read what Yeshua Mashiach answered him and others: Luke 13:22-25

>>
22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. 23 Then said one unto him, Adonai, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and has shut to the door, and you begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Adonai, Adonai, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are."<<
