Shabat Shalom!
While praying the subject of the Sabbath text, I heard an old Christian hymn in my heart: "The service of the Lord is precious". The price is to surrender wholeheartedly to obeying Him!
THE LORD IS BUILDING JERUSALEM
I did choose this song, because all Elohim's chosen are called to build up our believing neighbors internally for the best possible way already here in the earth on our journey to heavenly Jerusalem, the common and eternal hometown of the saints. HalleluYah!
The accompanying picture shows the step of faith to follow Adonai Yeshua to the baptismal grave, that is, to be baptized by immersing in water in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach HaNotzri for the forgiveness of sins.
It is only the first steps of our walk in faith, which must be followed by continuous sanctification, i.e. subordinating our world of thought to obey the teachings of our Messiah and the sanctification of our external walk.
Otherwise, we are not useful for his use. Of course, we want to bear abundant fruit for eternal life and lead many people to know our Savior, Yeshua HaMashiach as the only Savior of the whole world!
Paul exhorts us to this as follows: 2 Cor. 7:1
"Therefore, since we have these promises, my beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting our sanctification in the fear of Elohim."
The following Paul's teaching on the subject is also very important to understand: Rom. 6:22
"But now that you have been freed from sin and have become servants of Elohim, your fruit is sanctification, and the end of it is eternal life."
