With the Russian war of aggression still raging in Ukraine since 24th February 2022, it is necessary to reflect on the meaning of a common prayer acceptable to Elohim in order to end the war.
Common prayer in the Holy Spirit is our most effective weapon, if the Spirit of Mercy and Prayer can take over our hearts and we pray until the battle is won!
We read in the Bible that during the time of the prophet Elijah there was a period of 3.5 years in Israel, when not a single drop of water fell on the ground because of the power of Elijah's word as a punishment for the sins of Israel's wicked king Ahab and his sinful people.
When that appointed time of punishment was over, Elijah prayed to Yehova seven different times on Mount Carmel and after that a real heavy rain came that day.
Also in the Book of Hebrews, there is a mention of heroes of faith, who in their time maintained righteousness and drove away foreign armies from their territory. Such heroes of faith are needed even now in order to end the war on Ukrainian soil.
Instead of going to a fasting prayer, many Christians seem to support the principle that just add more heavy weapons to Ukraine and the war will end.
It would be wise to note that Russia is a nuclear weapon state that has more nuclear weapons than any other single state and has threatened to use them as well if NATO goes to war against it in support of Ukraine.
The start of nuclear war was very close in 1973
This current situation in Ukraine reminded me of Israel's Yom Kippur war in 1973. Since Israel seemed to be losing the war at the beginning, it intended to use its nuclear weapons against the invaders as a last resort.
According to what I heard, PM Golda Meir, at the request of the Minister of Defense, had given the order to load the Phantom fighters with nuclear weapons for combat readiness. And if the war did not take a clear turn in Israel's favor by the deadline, the Israeli Air Force should bomb the capitals of the surrounding enemy nations into ruins with nuclear bombs.
The turn in Israel's favor happened on all fronts only a few hours (as I recall, about 4 hours) before the deadline for the execution of the bombing order. In all of this, Israel's Guardian, Yehowah Elohim, was clearly helping Israel and the nations surrounding it.
Just then, even though I was completely unaware of Israel's nuclear bombing intentions, the Spirit of Mercy and Prayer descended upon me and I understood that there was a great emergency somewhere and something very dangerous was going on. I guessed it was about Israel.
We can only imagine the destruction and the huge number of dead that nuclear bombs would have caused in the cities around Israel and the after-effect of nuclear pollution in the atmosphere for years!
Let us not underestimate the power of genuine prayer! Our Savior Himself showed us by His own example in Gethsemane what Unyielding Prayer accomplishes! Hallelujah!
